Maintenance methods for dew point osmometers
Date: 2025-04-23Read: 5
1、 Daily maintenance
1. Cleaning of shell and interface
Wipe the instrument casing and sensor interface with a dry soft cloth, avoiding the use of wet cloths or corrosive solvents to prevent water vapor or chemical residues from affecting measurement accuracy.
Regularly inspect the sampling pipeline, remove impurities and residual water vapor, and ensure smooth gas flow.
2. Sensor protection
The cold mirror dew point meter needs to regularly check the cleanliness of the mirror surface. If it is contaminated by water-soluble substances, gently wipe the mirror surface with a special cleaning solution to avoid scratches that affect light reflection.
Capacitive/resistive sensors do not require cleaning, but need to be calibrated every 6 months to maintain accuracy.
3. Operating environment control
Avoid exposing the instrument to corrosive gases or severe vibration environments to prevent sensor damage or internal component loosening.
Control the sampling gas flow rate at 0.4-0.7 liters per minute. Excessive flow may damage the sensor or cause pressure imbalance.
2、 Regular maintenance
1. Calibration and Accuracy Verification
Complete system calibration every 6-12 months, shortened to 6 months in high temperature or high pollution environments.
Use a standard humidity generator (such as HDT3601) or calibration tools provided by the manufacturer to verify the accuracy of the data.
2. Key component inspection
Check if the power cord, grounding wire, and connection ports are secure to prevent poor contact from causing data abnormalities.
Regularly replace the filter to avoid oil stains or dust particles blocking the sampling system or contaminating the sensor.
3. Software and battery maintenance
Update instrument firmware or software versions to enhance system compatibility and anti-interference capabilities.
If using battery power, remove the battery when it is idle for a long time to prevent leakage and corrosion of the circuit; Avoid overcharging or high temperature environment during charging.
3、 Storage precautions
1. Environmental requirements
The storage environment should be dry and ventilated, with a temperature controlled between 10-30 ℃ and humidity below 60% to avoid component aging caused by extreme temperature and humidity.
When idle for a long time, place the instrument in a dust-proof protective box and place a desiccant to absorb moisture.
2. Preprocessing operation
Preheat the sensor for 15-30 minutes before use to achieve a stable working state.
After turning on, check if the display screen parameters are clear and confirm that there are no abnormal alarm prompts.
4、 Emergency handling of faults
1. Exception code prompt: Immediately record the dew point data before the error, check if the sampling system is blocked or if the sensor is contaminated, and return to the factory for maintenance if necessary.
2. Measurement drift: If the data error exceeds 2 ℃, prioritize cleaning the sensor and recalibrating it; If it is ineffective, replace the sensor module.
The above method can effectively extend the lifespan of the instrument and ensure measurement accuracy, and the maintenance cycle needs to be dynamically adjusted based on the frequency of use and environmental conditions.
