How to choose a yellow blue suction head

Choose a yellow blue pipette tip (usually referring to 1000 µ l and 200 µ l pipette tips)

1. Blue suction head (usually 1000 µ l)

• Adapt pipette range: Usually used for pipettes ranging from 200 µ l to 1000 µ l.

• Scope of use: It is recommended to use between 350 µ l and 1000 µ l. Although it can absorb 200 µ l, the relative error will increase.

• Note: Do not use a 1000 µ l suction head to suck liquids far below its range (such as 50 µ l), as this can significantly reduce accuracy due to dead volume and pressure changes.

2. Yellow suction head (usually 200 µ l)

• Adapt pipette range: Usually used for pipettes ranging from 20 µ l to 200 µ l.

• Scope of use: It is recommended to use between 70 µ l and 200 µ l.

• Note: Do not attempt to use a 200 µ l pipette tip to extract liquid beyond its range (such as 250 µ l), as this can cause liquid to be drawn into the interior of the pipette, contaminating and damaging precision components.
