Main structural characteristics and development trend of pressure spray dryer
Date: 2025-09-17Read: 5
Pressure spray (granulation) dryer: it is a device that can complete drying and granulation at the same time. According to the process requirements, the pressure, flow rate, and nozzle size of the material liquid pump can be adjusted to obtain the required spherical particles in a certain proportion.
Structural characteristics and development trend of pressure spray dryer:
1、 Main structural features
1. Modular design of tower body
Adopting an upward spray downward parallel flow structure, it includes three parts: tower head, tower body, and tower bottom. The tower head design focuses on the uniformity of hot air distribution, and reduces wall sticking problems through rectifier plates (with an opening rate of 25% -30%) and cone angle optimization (25 ° -30 °). The tower is equipped with a cyclone separator at the bottom, with a gas-solid separation efficiency of 96% -98%.
2. High pressure atomization system
Using a diaphragm pump to drive a pressure nozzle, the particle size of atomized droplets is controllable, forming spherical particles with good fluidity and solubility. The nozzle material can be customized for different materials (such as insect peptides, polysaccharides) to ensure the retention of active ingredients.
3. Hot air circulation and temperature control
The hot air system supports reverse/parallel flow mode and is equipped with a PLC temperature control module. The drying temperature can be as low as 50 ℃ to adapt to heat sensitive materials. Some models are equipped with a secondary dust removal device, which meets environmental protection requirements.
2、 Technological development trends
1. Low temperature drying technology
Low temperature spray technology (below 50 ℃) is developed for bioactive substances (such as animal polysaccharides and protein peptides) to reduce the risk of thermal denaturation.
2. Intelligence and automation
Real time monitoring of atomization pressure, air temperature and other parameters through sensors, combined with PLC system to achieve full process automation control and improve production stability.
3. Multi functional integrated design
Some models integrate granulation function and directly produce instant granules (such as instant coffee and traditional Chinese medicine extracts) by adjusting pump pressure and nozzle parameters.
4. Energy saving and environmental protection optimization
Adopting an exhaust design to reduce energy consumption, upgrading the exhaust gas treatment system (such as bag dust removal), and increasing the recovery rate to over 98%.
