Efficient Usage Guide for Centrifugal Granulation Coating Machine: The Golden Rule of Parameter Optimization and Maintenance
1、 Centrifugal granulation
Coating machineCore usage skills and operating standards
Accurate parameter control
Speed optimization: The turntable speed needs to balance wetting uniformity and pellet density. Too slow can easily lead to poor material continuity, while too fast may cause pellet adhesion or equipment vibration due to excessive centrifugal force. Suggest adjusting in stages based on material characteristics: the nucleation stage rotates at 150-200rpm, the coating stage reduces to 120-150rpm, and the drying stage returns to 180-220rpm.
Atomization pressure control: 0.3-0.5MPa pneumatic spray gun is used to ensure uniform droplet size (target 10-50 μ m). The distance between the spray gun and the material should be kept at 15-25cm to avoid excessive wetting caused by being too close, and insufficient atomization caused by being too far away.
Temperature and humidity management: Inlet temperature is 40-50 ℃, outlet temperature is 35-45 ℃, and air humidity is ≤ 60%. A high humidity environment can easily cause condensation of the coating solution, and it is recommended to equip it with a dehumidification system.
Standardization of operating procedures
Pre processing stage: Check the lubricating oil level, electrical connections, and sealing ring status before starting the equipment. Clean the centrifuge disc and nozzle with neutral detergent to avoid chemical corrosion.
Coating process control: Adopting a "spray liquid supply adhesive" circulation mode. The spraying speed and powder supply speed need to be synchronized: the spraying volume is 10-20ml per minute, and the powder supply speed is 5-10g per minute, ensuring that the surface of the microspheres is uniformly wetted and there is no excessive accumulation.
Drying and curing: After the coating is completed, start the hot air circulation system (temperature 50-60 ℃) for 30-60 minutes to ensure the curing of the coating layer.
Maintenance strategy for centrifugal granulation coating machine
Daily maintenance: Clean the equipment surface and centrifuge disk daily, check the tension of the transmission belt and the tightness of the bolts. Lubricating oil should be replaced quarterly, using HL20/HL30 gear oil.
Regular maintenance: Check the oil quality of the reducer, insulation performance of the electrical system, and nozzle wear every month. Perform speed calibration every six months and use a speed frequency meter to verify that the deviation between the actual speed and the set value is ≤ 2%.
Fault prevention: Establish maintenance files to record equipment operating parameters, fault phenomena, and handling measures. Regularly conduct no-load test runs to detect abnormal vibrations or noise.
2、 Common problem solutions
Particle adhesion problem: Adjust the speed to 180rpm, reduce the spraying speed to 15ml/min, increase the blowing frequency to 30Hz, and enhance the evaporation efficiency.
Uneven coating: Optimize the position of the spray gun to the lower one-third of the center of the centrifugal disk, adjust the atomization pressure to 0.4 MPa, and ensure even coverage of the droplets.
Abnormal equipment vibration: Check if the rubber feet of the base are tightly attached to the table and re level the equipment. If the vibration persists, the bearing wear should be checked and replaced.
3、 Safety and Quality Control
Safety regulations: Operators must wear protective equipment (gloves, masks, goggles), and the equipment must be reliably grounded (grounding resistance ≤ 4 Ω). Do not come into contact with moving parts during operation.
Quality control: The raw materials must comply with pharmacopoeia standards, and the hardness of the coated microspheres must be ≥ 50N, with a particle size distribution D90 ≤ 500 μ m. Regularly conduct dissolution and stability tests.
