The air-cooled xenon lamp aging test chamber and the water-cooled xenon lamp aging test chamber are both xenon lamp aging test chambers, which have no difference in purpose and function, but have different effects in structure and under the same test conditions. Please refer to the following six items for specific differences: 1. Structural difference: The air-cooled xenon lamp is a flat plate type, with the lamp tube placed flat on top of the equipment and a flat sample compartment below. It is easy to place some irregular products that cannot be sampled, but the testing area is small. The water-cooled type is a rotating drum xenon lamp (also known as a rotating cage xenon lamp). The lamp tube is rigidly installed, and there is a rotating cage around it that can rotate the product 360 degrees for testing, with a larger irradiation area. However, it is recommended to use samples that can be sampled or sliced for testing. 2、 The difference in lamp power is that the commonly used power for air-cooled xenon lamps is 1500W/unit or 2500W/unit. It is not recommended to use air cooling for higher power, but water cooling is recommended because it is prone to failure. Water cooled light tubes have a capacity of 4500W/tube or 6000W/tube, and the volume affects the number of tubes. For products that are both water-cooled and air-cooled, one water-cooled tube is sufficient, while air-cooled tubes may have at least 6 or even 7-8 tubes. (Explain why there are different power lamps and under what circumstances high-power lamps are used. For example, under the same wavelength, 420nm is usually 1.1W/m2 and 1.2W/m2, but if the customer requires 1.5W/m2, it is an enhanced version.). 3、 Uniformity difference: Water cooling has better uniformity. The uniformity of a single lamp tube is good, while the uniformity of multiple lamps is not as good because there is no difference in lamp tube intervals. 4、 The difference in equipment prices is that water-cooled xenon lamps are about twice as expensive as air-cooled xenon lamps. Because air cooling and blowing can cool the lamp tube, while water cooling requires water to cool the lamp tube, which requires high process requirements. Water also needs to be treated for water quality. Air has strong penetration, and different types of water can contain impurities, which can also bring dirt. After using it for a period of time, the surface of the lamp tube will be covered with dirt and turn white, making it difficult for light to pass through. Therefore, when dealing with these problems, there will be an increase in cost and more complex technology. 5、 The cost of consumables after air cooling will be higher than that of water cooling. For example, for the same area of test object, air-cooled lamps may require multiple tubes, but one water-cooled lamp is enough. Although one water-cooled lamp is about twice as expensive as one air-cooled lamp, under the same testing conditions, air-cooled lamps may require six or even 7-8 tubes to achieve. However, water-cooled lamps only require one tube, so the cost of replacing lamps in the later stage will be expensive. 6、 Selection difference: When choosing between air-cooled or water-cooled, all wavelength requirements can be purchased with air-cooled or water-cooled options. However, for test samples, it is recommended to choose this option. If you need to store a lot of things or have a large area, it is recommended to use water-cooled options because the area of water-cooled options is three times that of air-cooled options. However, for sheet or coating applications, air-cooled options are recommended for small areas, while air-cooled options are recommended for irregular products.
