The maintenance methods for single-layer glass reaction vessels can be summarized as the following key steps:
1、 Daily cleaning and inspection
1. Cleaning standards
Immediately rinse with a solvent compatible with the reactants after use, and then thoroughly clean with deionized water or distilled water; Stubborn stains can be cleaned with dilute acid/alkaline solution, avoiding the use of highly corrosive reagents such as hydrofluoric acid.
Do not use hard brushes or sharp tools during cleaning to prevent scratching the glass surface. After cleaning, it should be naturally dried or dried at a low temperature below 60 ℃.
Regularly wipe the sealing ring, PTFE valve and other components to maintain a surface free of solvent residue.
2. Key inspection items
Before each use, check whether there are cracks or scratches on the glass kettle body, especially paying attention to the connection between the kettle body and lid, and the part where the mixing shaft passes through.
Regularly verify the sensitivity and calibration status of pressure gauges, thermometers, safety valves, and other instruments to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
2、 Sealing and lubrication management
1. Sealing surface maintenance
When installing the kettle cover, it is necessary to gradually tighten the main nut diagonally and symmetrically, with a torque controlled within the range of 40-120N · M, to avoid squeezing or excessive wear of the sealing surface.
When disassembling the kettle cover, lift it slowly to prevent collision with the sealing surface. Before installation, wipe it with a soft cloth and apply vacuum grease.
2. Lubrication operation
The packing seal of the mixing shaft needs to be adjusted regularly to ensure proper tightness and no leakage.
The sealing ring, valve stem and other parts need to be cleaned regularly and coated with vacuum grease or graphite lubricant to prevent the components from biting.
3、 Operation and maintenance control
1. Startup and operation specifications
Before starting, manually rotate the mixing shaft to confirm there is no jamming, and check if the motor rotation is clockwise (must be checked after initial installation or maintenance).
To avoid heating the electric heating jacket without load, it is necessary to first place it in the reaction vessel before turning on the power.
2. Parameter control
It is strictly prohibited to operate beyond the pressure and temperature specified on the nameplate. The glass lined kettle must control the cold/hot shock to be less than 110 ℃ and 120 ℃, respectively.
Monitor the mixer for abnormal noise and motor current during operation, and promptly handle any issues.
4、 Safe and long-term storage
1. Safe operation
Before maintenance, the power and water sources must be cut off, and the pressure must be removed before operation.
It is prohibited to wear hard jewelry (such as watches, rings) when operating equipment to prevent scratching and touching glass components.
2. Long term storage requirements
Loosen the PTFE switch and fasteners to prevent component deformation.
Thoroughly clean and dry before storage, and apply protective grease to the sealing surface.
Systematic maintenance can significantly extend equipment lifespan and reduce safety hazards caused by seal failure or glass damage.
