Perovskite cells can be regarded as "ideal photovoltaic materials", with higher efficiency than traditional crystalline silicon cells. They can still generate electricity efficiently in rainy and cloudy days and can be made into flexible thin films for applications in buildings, vehicles, and wearable devices. However, the cost is only 1/20 of crystalline silicon. However, the weakness of "non durability" has made it difficult for it to leave the laboratory and be put into practical application on a large scale. FromEast China University of Science and TechnologyThe research team has successfully solved the stability problem of perovskite batteriesRaman spectroscopyIt is precisely the key behind this breakthrough.

Perovskite cells have broad application potential
Under the influence of electric field, temperature, and light, perovskite thin films undergo lattice deformation and structural evolution, which limits the working life of perovskite solar cells. The Hou Yu team from East China University of Science and Technology conducted research on this and proposed for the first time: the existence ofDynamic local stressIt is the key to causing defects at grain boundaries. To solve this problem, the team used polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) to combine single-layer graphene with perovskite films to form a mechanically reinforced interface. The detection results show that this new interface not only reduces the deformation rate from 0.31% to 0.08%, but also effectively prevents lateral ion diffusion. After modification, the device has a T97 * lifespan under high temperature conditions of 90 ℃Increased to 3670 hoursThis achievement has broken the record for stability of perovskite batteries.
*T97 lifespan refers to the time that perovskite solar cells can continue to operate under specific conditions (such as standard sunlight and high temperature environments) when their photoelectric conversion efficiency decays to over 97% of the initial efficiency.
During the research process,Raman spectroscopyPlayed an indispensable role.
InJudging material qualityIn terms of aspect, researchers observed the Raman characteristic G peak (1585 cm ⁻¹)material structureConfirm that the graphene used ishigh qualityofSingle layer structureSubsequently, the team further confirmed the graphene on the surface of perovskite using Raman mapping technologyDistributed very evenly.

InObserving lattice changesIn terms of aspect, researchers utilize wavenumbers below 60 cm ⁻¹Low wavenumber in-situ Raman spectroscopyAfter exposure to light, it was found that the Raman peak of perovskite exhibited broadening and splitting phenomena. Based on the analysis of XRD (X-ray diffraction) detection results, it can be concluded that this phenomenon is caused by the combined effect of tensile strain and lattice expansion. In addition,Raman signal variationIt also indicates that perovskite films with PMMA/graphene protection exhibit basic properties throughout the entire light irradiation processMaintain a stable stateThis further proves that the interface canEffectively suppress lattice deformation.

The breakthrough in the stability of perovskite cells means that they can truly move towards practical applications. Expected by 2025, domestic perovskiteThe production capacity will reach 7.4 GWIn the future, it may even be possibleReplace some crystalline silicon batteriesReshaping the pattern of the photovoltaic industry. Raman spectroscopy technology, with its "sharp eyes", ensures that every achievement of this photovoltaic revolution is solid and reliable.
