Capsule polishing machine is a specialized equipment used in the field of pharmaceutical production, mainly for surface polishing and dust removal of capsules and tablets, improving the smoothness, and automatically sorting and removing unqualified products such as empty shells and fragments, while recovering pharmaceutical powder. Its core structure includes a hopper, polishing drum, brush, and vacuum cleaner, made of stainless steel material to meet GMP standards.
Special attention should be paid to the following safety and operating points when using a drug polishing machine:
1. Safety protection measures
When operating, it is necessary to wear a full set of protective equipment, including work clothes, goggles, masks, and dust gloves, to avoid contact between the powder and the skin or inhalation of dust. It is strictly prohibited to place body parts near the polishing wheel or brush area during equipment operation to prevent mechanical entanglement and injury. The power cord should be kept dry and insulated properly, as wet hand operation may pose a risk of electric shock.
2. Equipment inspection and startup
Before use, it is necessary to confirm that the polishing cylinder, brush, seal and other components are securely fastened and the power connection is normal. Before starting, a low-speed trial run should be conducted with no load to observe whether the equipment is running smoothly. If there is any abnormal noise, the machine should be stopped immediately for maintenance. When polishing different batches of drugs, it is necessary to clean the polishing cylinder and brush to avoid cross contamination.
3. Process control during operation
The feeding amount should be uniform and moderate, excessive filling may affect the polishing effect or cause equipment overload. Adjust the rotation speed and polishing time according to the material of the drug. For hard materials, the rotation speed can be appropriately increased, while for soft materials, the rotation speed needs to be reduced to prevent surface damage. Continuous working hours should not be too long to avoid overheating of the brush and affecting the quality of the medicine.
4. Cleaning and maintenance
After polishing, the main motor should be turned off first and then the power should be cut off to clean up residual powder and debris. Regularly check the wear of the brush and replace it in a timely manner to ensure the polishing effect; The transmission components need to be regularly lubricated with oil. When cleaning, avoid electrical components from coming into contact with water. After cleaning with a brush, hang it to dry.
5. Urgent handling
If there is abnormal vibration, noise or smoke during operation, the power should be immediately cut off and professional personnel should be contacted for maintenance. Unauthorized disassembly of equipment or modification of circuits is prohibited, and all maintenance must be completed by qualified technicians.
