On the morning of June 7, 2018, the handover ceremony of cold chain equipment for immunization planning in the Xizang Autonomous Region was held in the CDC of the autonomous region. The autonomous region has allocated more than 9.2 million yuan in special funds to equip city (prefecture) level disease control institutions and vaccination units with 6 vaccine refrigerated trucks, 19 vaccine cold storage facilities, 510 vaccine storage refrigerators, and 648 vaccine storage refrigerated containers. In the future, not only will all city level disease control institutions and vaccination units be able to independently and safely store and transport vaccines, but all cold chain equipment in the entire region will also be able to conduct real-time temperature monitoring.

Vaccines are a special class of drugs and biological products that are sensitive to temperature, and can be affected by temperatures that are too high or too low. From vaccine production to vaccination, there are multiple stages of circulation, transportation, and storage. In order to ensure the stability and antigenicity of the vaccine, it needs to be stored under specified temperature conditions. Under unqualified storage conditions, the antigen components in the vaccine become inactive, and the immune response cannot be activated after vaccination. When encountering pathogens, the body cannot be protected. Therefore, very high requirements have been put forward for the cold chain of the entire vaccine process.

For the construction of vaccine cold chain system in Xizang Autonomous Region, Hangzhou Zeda Instrument Co., Ltd. provided 648 vaccine storage refrigerators and 1949 cold chain real-time temperature monitoring systems. Each vaccine storage refrigerator is equipped with a corresponding Bluetooth temperature recorder, using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology to ensure real-time temperature monitoring of vaccines in multiple circulation, transportation, and storage stages. At the same time, with the help of a mobile app, data can be printed or stored on the phone with just one click, greatly improving the safety and efficiency of vaccine cold chain logistics.

In order to ensure the safe arrival of equipment, our company overcame various adverse environmental factors through various communication and negotiation, and delivered the required vaccine cold chain system equipment to the Xizang Autonomous Region CDC in time to ensure the normal operation of the project.

At present, except for the vaccine cold storage which is still being installed, all other equipment has been put in place. The real-time temperature monitoring system of Zeda Cold Chain has covered more than 2600 cold chain devices in all cities, counties and townships of the autonomous region. To ensure that equipment providers, technicians, sales personnel, production personnel, and after-sales personnel can track and provide technical installation, usage guidance, and other work throughout the process, a communication group has been established specifically to facilitate the work of relevant personnel.

Through the concerted efforts of the entire company, we have successfully completed this glorious task. In the future, all city (prefecture) level disease control institutions in Xizang will be able to store and transport vaccines independently; All vaccination units are able to independently and safely store vaccines; Cold chain equipment fully covers vaccination units at or above the township level; All cold chain equipment can be monitored for real-time temperature. To improve the health conditions of Tibetan compatriots and contribute to the smooth implementation of the national immunization program in Tibet.
