Process principle of temperature and humidity transmitter
Date: 2025-01-16Read: 6
Temperature and humidity transmitter is a device used to measure environmental temperature and humidity, commonly used in the industrial field, with characteristics such as high measurement accuracy, fast response time, and good stability.
Temperature and humidity transmitters are commonly used in industrial production, especially in scenarios where high temperature and humidity control is required for the production environment. For example, in food processing production, precise control of temperature and humidity is required to ensure production quality and safety. In pharmaceutical production, strict control of temperature and humidity is necessary to ensure the quality and stability of drugs.
A temperature and humidity transmitter generally consists of two parts: a sensor and a signal processor.
1. Sensors
Sensors are the core components of temperature and humidity transmitters, used to measure temperature and humidity in the environment. There are two commonly used sensors: capacitive and resistive.
(1) Capacitive sensor
Capacitive sensors use the change in capacitance between two metal electrodes to measure humidity in the environment. The sensor has a simple structure, high measurement accuracy, and fast response speed, but it is relatively expensive.
(2) Resistance sensor
Resistance sensors use the change in resistance of dielectric materials to measure humidity in the environment. The sensor has a simple structure and a lower price, but its accuracy is slightly lower compared to capacitive sensors.
2. Signal processor
Signal processors are used to convert temperature and humidity signals measured by sensors into standard signal outputs, and perform amplification, filtering, linearization, and other processing. There are two commonly used signal processors: analog signal processors and digital signal processors.
(1) Analog signal processor
The analog signal processor amplifies, filters, linearizes the analog signal measured by the sensor, and outputs it as a standard signal. The advantages are high precision and fast response speed. The disadvantages are susceptibility to interference and temperature drift.
(2) Digital Signal Processor
The digital signal processor converts the signal measured by the sensor into an A/D converter, digitizes it, filters and linearizes it, and then outputs a standard signal. The advantages are less susceptible to interference and good stability. The disadvantage is slow response speed.
