Brief Introduction

Polyurethane insulated steel pipe is a pipeline material with excellent insulation and corrosion resistance properties. The production process involves multiple processes, including raw material preparation, pipeline fabrication, insulation layer construction, and other steps. This article will provide a detailed introduction to the production process of polyurethane insulated steel pipes, as well as each step involved.

1、 Raw material preparation

The production of polyurethane insulated steel pipes first requires the preparation of various raw materials. The main raw materials include steel pipes, polyurethane foam materials, protective layer materials, etc.

1. Steel pipe preparation: Select suitable specifications of steel pipes as substrates, commonly including seamless steel pipes and spiral welded steel pipes. Steel pipes should undergo anti-corrosion treatment to improve their durability.

2. Preparation of polyurethane foam material: Polyurethane foam material is a key material for making insulation layers. It has good insulation performance and adhesion, and can form a uniform insulation layer on the surface of the pipeline. Select suitable polyurethane foam materials based on the usage environment and requirements of the pipeline.

3. Preparation of protective layer material: The protective layer material is mainly used to protect the polyurethane insulation layer from external damage. Common protective layer materials include polyethylene, polypropylene, etc.

2、 Pipeline fabrication

Pipeline production is an important part of the production of polyurethane insulated steel pipes. It includes steps such as pipeline cutting and pipeline welding.

1. Pipeline cutting: Cut the pre prepared steel pipes according to the design requirements and pipeline length. Ensure that the length of the pipeline meets the requirements, while ensuring that the cut is smooth and free of burrs.

2. Pipeline welding: Weld the cut steel pipes. Welding is a crucial step in ensuring pipeline quality and should be strictly operated in accordance with relevant standards. After welding, remove slag and polish the welding joint to ensure that the welding area is flat and firm.

3、 Construction of insulation layer

The construction of insulation layer is the core step in the production of polyurethane insulated steel pipes, which directly affects the insulation effect and service life of the pipeline.

1. Spraying polyurethane foam material: Pre prepared polyurethane foam material is sprayed onto the surface of the pipeline through specialized equipment to form a uniform insulation layer. During the spraying process, attention should be paid to controlling the spraying amount and evenly coating the polyurethane foam material.

2. Curing of insulation layer: After spraying polyurethane foam material, it needs to be cured for a certain period of time. The curing time and temperature depend on the specific requirements of the polyurethane foam material. After curing, the insulation layer can exert its good insulation performance.

3. Construction of protective layer: The construction of protective layer material is the last process to protect the polyurethane insulation layer. Wrap the pre prepared protective layer material with specialized equipment to form a complete protective layer, protecting the polyurethane insulation layer from external environmental damage.

4、 Quality inspection and acceptance

The completed polyurethane insulated steel pipe needs to undergo quality inspection and acceptance to ensure that its quality meets the standards and design requirements.

1. Appearance inspection: Inspect the appearance of the pipeline, including the quality of welds, insulation layers, and protective layers. Check for cracks, bubbles, detachment, and other issues.

2. Dimensional inspection: Measure the dimensions of the pipeline, including length, diameter, etc., and compare them with the design requirements.

3. Thermal insulation performance test: Conduct thermal insulation performance tests on the polyurethane insulation layer using professional instruments, including indicators such as thermal conductivity and insulation thickness.

After the above production process and quality inspection, the production process of polyurethane insulated steel pipes is completed. The produced pipelines have excellent insulation and corrosion resistance, and can be widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and heating.

Many customers are unclear about which items need to be checked when purchasing polyurethane buried insulation pipes? This needs to be seen from the production process and precautions of insulation pipes. When polyurethane insulation pipes are injected and foamed, the reaction solution stays in the mixing chamber for a very short time, usually only a few seconds or ten seconds. Steel sleeve steel insulated steel pipe is suitable for transporting steam or other media below 2.5MPa and 350 degrees Celsius. This product uses steel pipe as the outer protective layer, which has the advantages of high strength, low damage, easy construction and maintenance, and long service life. When injecting foam into polyurethane insulation pipes, the reaction solution stays in the mixing chamber for a very short time, usually only a few seconds or ten seconds. Polyurethane prefabricated directly buried insulation pipe is a prefabricated pipe closely combined by steel pipe, polyurethane rigid foam insulation layer and glass avant-garde reinforced plastic (i.e. glass fiber reinforced plastic) outer sheath.

So the on-site inspection of polyurethane insulated steel pipes should be carried out from the following aspects: What are the testing items for polyurethane buried insulated pipes? Polyurethane insulation and waterproof materials have dual properties. After the materials enter the site, they must be retested. The retest content of spraying polyurethane mainly includes the density, compression performance, dimensional stability, and impermeability of the materials.
