Briefly describe the advantages and disadvantages of silicone aeration tube membrane
Date: 2023-04-03Read: 6
Silicone aeration tube membrane is a wrapping material on the surface of the aerator, which requires direct contact with the water source liquid to promote aeration efficiency and speed. Silicone aeration tube membrane and silicone rubber aeration tube both refer to the same material, and silicone rubber, silicone rubber, and silicone rubber are all names for silicone. EPDM membrane, on the other hand, belongs to the rubber industry. Its full name is "EPDM", which is a chemical synthetic product with a wide range of branches and applications. It is a senior rubber product. Silicone rubber and rubber are not the same material, each with its own advantages and disadvantages, and this is also the case in the aeration tube membrane of sewage mechanism. Below, the editor will briefly describe these two materials to everyone.
1. Flexibility: The reason why the flexibility of the silicone aeration tube membrane is improved is because the membrane wall thickness is thin and difficult to assemble during the assembly process (due to lack of support), which wastes a lot of time. The silicone membrane can be made to a hardness of 30-70 ° (Shore A) and is relatively soft and flexible to assemble, indirectly accelerating the assembly efficiency. When pushed by the air pressure inside the tube, the silicone membrane will slightly expand in flexibility. The advantage of doing so is that the bulging space will be used to disperse the air pressure, and the tearing force borne by each hole of the silicone aeration tube membrane will decrease, ensuring a longer service life.
2. Antibacterial performance: There are many bacteria in the sewage, and over time, they will accumulate and corrode the silicone aeration tube, which is the silicone membrane of the aeration tube. The antibacterial performance of silicone is well-known in the industry, and in the medical field (which has strict requirements for bacteria), silicone material is an excellent choice. Therefore, it can be seen that the antibacterial performance of silicone is well known, and the excellent antibacterial performance of silicone aeration tube membrane cannot be achieved by other materials.
3. Acid and alkali resistance: Silica gel aeration tube membrane is one of the extruded products of silica gel, and the base material of silica gel itself is an element extracted from a certain ore. Its physical inertness is much better than that of ordinary materials, even if the contact material is some acidic or alkaline products, it can still work (which will have a certain impact on the service life and belong to special working environments). However, if the liquid is strong acid or alkali, it cannot be used (special silica gel membrane needs to be replaced) because ordinary silica gel cannot withstand particularly high acidic or alkaline liquids
4. Excellent tear resistance: Silicone aeration tube membrane, also known as silicone rubber membrane, is used as the standard in the following text. Gas quickly flows through the aeration tube pipeline and is conducted to the water through the membrane. The number of holes is relatively large, and each hole has to withstand air pressure, so the tear resistance of silicone membrane is strictly required (except for special products with silicone tear strength ≥ 18KN/m)
5. Safety performance: Because the aeration tube needs to be embedded in the sewage bottom for a long time, there are many impurities in this environment, which can easily cause blockage of membrane holes and reduce production efficiency over time. Silicone is a product with excellent expansion performance. If made with high elastic materials, it can achieve an expansion ratio of ≤ 600%. A 0.3mm silicone aeration tube membrane hole can be expanded several times more and is not easily torn. Impurities that block the membrane hole can be easily pushed out by air pressure to ensure the normal operation of the product.
The above are the advantages and disadvantages of silicone aeration tube membrane in sewage treatment. In addition to the above, the advantages of silicone aeration tube membrane also include environmental performance, halogen-free, anti yellowing, and service life.
