1、 Preparation before startup
1. Equipment inspection
(1) Check whether the fan, heater, atomizer, pipeline and other components are intact to ensure no leakage or looseness.
(2)Confirm that lubricating oil has been added to lubrication points (such as atomizer bearings and mixers) and the oil level is within the specified range.
(3)Clean the drying tower, material pipelines, and receiving devices to ensure compliance with hygiene requirements.
2. System debugging
(1)Connect and tighten all pipelines to ensure good air tightness and prevent cold air from entering the drying chamber.
(2)Jogging test equipment such as fans and atomizers to confirm proper rotation and operation.
2、 Start up and heating up
1. Start the fan and heater
(1)Start the supply fan first, then start the exhaust fan to ensure that the negative pressure inside the tower is maintained at 50-150 Pa.
(2)Gradually start the heater and slowly raise the temperature to the set inlet air temperature (usually 185-240 ℃) to avoid sudden heat damage to the equipment.
2. Preheating drying tower
The preheating time is about 0.5-1 hour, and the feeding can begin after the condensed water has completely evaporated and the temperature has stabilized.
3、 Operation and regulation
1. Feeding operation
(1)Use a high-pressure pump or peristaltic pump to feed the material into the atomizer. The initial feeding amount should be small and gradually increase to a stable flow rate.
(2)Adjust the frequency of the atomizer (such as 30-50 Hz), control the droplet size, and ensure uniform dispersion of the material.
2. Temperature and negative pressure control
(1)The inlet temperature should be set according to the characteristics of the material (such as lower temperature for thermosensitive materials), and the outlet temperature should be stable at ≤ 95 ℃.
(2)Real time monitoring of negative pressure inside the tower (100 Pa for blood cell drying and 100 Pa for plasma drying), maintained stable by adjusting the air flow valve.
3. Exception handling
(1)If the outlet air temperature is too high, reduce the feeding amount or lower the heating power; If the temperature is too low, adjust it in reverse.
(2)When wall sticking occurs, it is necessary to clean the tower wall and optimize the atomization effect or adjust the material concentration.
4、 Shutdown and maintenance
1. Normal shutdown
(1)After stopping the feeding, continue running the fan and heater for 10-15 minutes to discharge residual materials.
(2)Shutdown sequence: steam → feed pump → heater → atomizer → fan.
2. Cleaning and maintenance
(1)Clean the atomizer, pipes, and drying chamber with hot water or solvent to prevent material residue from clumping.
(2)Check and replace worn parts (such as atomizing discs and filters), and record the operating status of the equipment.
5、 Precautions
1. The preheating stage requires sealing the drying tower to avoid cold air affecting the heating efficiency.
2. The feed concentration needs to be adjusted according to the characteristics of the material. If it is too high, it is easy to block the atomizer, and if it is too low, it will prolong the drying time.
3. Product collection should be carried out in a sealed state between the cyclone separator and bag filter to prevent moisture absorption and regain.
The above process needs to be flexibly adjusted based on specific equipment parameters and material characteristics to ensure operational safety and drying effectiveness.
