1. Regularly check whether the grounding of the sterilizer power cord is good to ensure personal safety.
2. The sterilizer should be used indoors in a well ventilated and dry environment, free from flammable and explosive materials.
3. The safety valve and steam release valve have been calibrated at the factory, and the lead seal and screws on the valve must not be opened arbitrarily.
4. The stacking of items shall not exceed 4/5 of the total volume for safety reasons.
5. Do not attach oil to the sealing ring to avoid damaging the glue and causing air leakage.
6. It is strictly prohibited to sterilize chemical substances that may cause explosions or sudden pressure increases due to contact with steam media.
7. When stacking sterilizer items, it is strictly prohibited to block the air outlet of the safety valve and vent valve. A space must be left to ensure smooth air flow, otherwise the safety valve and vent valve cannot work due to the blocked air outlet, causing accidents.
8. When sterilizing liquid, it should be filled in heat-resistant glass bottles with a volume not exceeding 3/4, and cotton gauze should be used for the bottle mouth. Do not use punched rubber or cork stoppers; After sterilization, it is not allowed to release steam immediately. The residual gas can only be discharged after the pressure gauge pointer returns to zero.
9. Do not sterilize items of different types and sterilization requirements, such as dressings and liquids, together to avoid losses.
10. After prolonged use, if the pressure gauge indicates incorrectly or cannot return to zero position, it should be replaced in a timely manner. It should be regularly sent to a qualified unit for calibration. If it is abnormal, a new gauge should be replaced.
11. Safety valves should be regularly checked for reliability. If the pressure gauge pointer exceeds 0.165Mpa and the safety valve does not trip, it must be immediately stopped and replaced with a qualified safety valve.
12. Disinfectors should be used indoors and operated by dedicated personnel, and should not be used in public places.
13. The socket must be equipped with a connecting ground wire Ensure that the power plug is securely plugged in. Do not damage the wires or use non compliant power cords. The spring plate connected to the power cord should be grounded for protection and maintain good contact.
14. Safety valves and pressure gauges with a service life of one year should be sent to the designated metrology and testing department for appraisal.
15. Leave gaps between the items in the sterilizer and stack them sequentially on the sieve plate inside the sterilizer, which is beneficial for the penetration of steam and can improve the sterilization effect.
16. When heating, be sure to plug in the power cord plug tightly, so that the grounding copper plate of the plug is in close contact with the protective cover to ensure safe use. At the beginning of heating, place the release valve in a vertically open position, and the cold air inside the sterilizer will be heated at any time and overflow from the valve hole. When there is sudden steam rushing out of the valve hole, restore the pick to its original position. When the pressure of the sterilizer reaches the required range, adjust or turn on/off the heat source appropriately to maintain a constant pressure, and start calculating the disinfection time according to different items and packaging to maintain the required disinfection time.
17. When dressings, instruments, and utensils need to be dried after disinfection, the steam in the sterilizer can be discharged through the steam release valve at the end of disinfection. After the pressure gauge pointer returns to zero, wait for 1-2 minutes, open the lid, and continue heating for a few more minutes to achieve the purpose of drying the items.
18. If the solution culture medium is immediately vaporized at the end of disinfection, it may cause serious accidents such as bottle bursting or solution overflow from the sterilizer due to sudden pressure drop. So at the end of disinfection, the steam should not be released immediately. Instead, the heating should be stopped and allowed to cool naturally for 20-30 minutes, allowing the internal pressure to cool down and drop to zero (the pressure gauge pointer returns to zero). After a few minutes, the steam release valve should be opened, and then the lid should be slightly opened (with a gap). The person should leave the disinfection room and wait for it to cool naturally to a certain extent before removing it.
