Process principle of dry granulation machine
Date: 2024-12-17Read: 4
Dry granulation machine is a new type of granulation machinery that uses dry granulation process to convert raw materials into particles of a certain diameter to achieve specific purposes. Widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and food.
The dry granulation machine is mainly composed of a sieve, a feeder, a pressure roller, a pulverizer, etc. Its granulation process mainly includes the following stages:
1. Raw material feeding
Under the action of the feeding device, the raw materials are uniformly and continuously fed into the granulator. The raw materials are compressed by high-speed rotating rollers inside the machine. Due to the low or no water content of the raw materials themselves, the fiber structure of the compressed raw materials is compact, forming granular substances.
2. Granulation compression
After entering the machine through the feeding device, the raw materials first pass through the pressing zone. The pressure zone is composed of two high-speed rotating rollers that rotate in opposite directions. The speed rings of the pressure roller move in the same direction, but at different speeds, forming a granulation area. The raw materials inside the machine undergo changes in stress during continuous compression, resulting in what we call compaction. Under this effect, some small and loose raw material particles gradually aggregate to form larger clumps.
3. Granulation and fragmentation
After passing through the granulation area, enter the crushing area. The crushing zone is a mechanism composed of a crushing roller and a vibrating screen. The main function of this section is to perform secondary crushing and screening treatment on the particles passing through the granulation area, so as to produce particles with more uniform size.
4. Particle molding
After passing through the crushing zone, there are still a small amount of unconsolidated fine particles that are crushed during this process. At the same time, particulate objects can be collected through the sieve. In this way, after crushing and separation, the particles obtain a more uniform size. The final obtained particulate matter is collected in a powder collector.
