Disc centrifuge is a device used for separating solid-liquid mixtures. The main advantages of disc centrifuge are high separation efficiency, large processing capacity, compact structure, small footprint, easy operation, and simple maintenance. Disc centrifuges are suitable for processing county floating liquids with solid particle sizes greater than 0.005mm, and can obtain relatively pure liquids. The separation process utilizes centrifugal force to separate solids and liquids. Under the action of centrifugal force, solid particles move radially and form a circular filter cake on the drum wall, while liquid is discharged through the gaps between the filter cake layers. As the inner diameter of the drum gradually increases, the thickness of the filter cake layer gradually decreases, and solid particles are gradually separated. When the thickness of the filter cake layer decreases to a certain extent, the drum stops, the drum is disassembled, and solid particles in the filter cake layer are removed.
When using a disc centrifuge, we need to pay attention to the following points:
1. Correctly select and configure disc types and specifications to meet the requirements for handling materials.
2. Operate the equipment correctly to avoid overload and overspeed operation.
3. Regularly inspect and clean equipment to keep it clean and in good condition.
4. Timely replace worn parts and vulnerable components such as bearings to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
5. Strictly adhere to safety operating procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
