Reasons and Testing Methods for Internal Stress in Medicinal Glass Bottles
Annealing treatment is an important stage in the production process of medicinal brown glass bottles. It is a heat treatment process that eliminates or reduces residual stress in the glass to an allowable value, in order to ensure the probability of self explosion of glass products during production, transportation, and storage, and to play a good role in protecting drugs and medicines. Due to the inherent characteristics of glass, its poor thermal conductivity inevitably leads to stress during annealing due to temperature differences. By annealing, it is hoped that residual stress can be reduced or homogenizedminimumWithin the limits, to enhance the mechanical strength and thermal stability of the glass. This annealing is a heat treatment process that can eliminate or reduce the thermal stress present in the glass to the allowable value as much as possible.
