Manual diaphragm valves can handle various types of media, including corrosive media, high viscosity media, and media containing solid particles. For corrosive media, the diaphragm plays a role in isolation; For high viscosity media, the flexibility of the diaphragm facilitates the flow of the medium; For media containing solid particles, a diaphragm can prevent particles from jamming and wearing on the internal structure of the valve. In the field of sewage treatment, sewage contains a large amount of solid particles such as sediment and debris, and may also have a certain degree of corrosiveness, which can adapt well to this complex medium environment and play a normal role in intercepting and regulating flow.
The structure of manual diaphragm valve is relatively simple, without complex internal parts, mainly composed of a few key components such as diaphragm, valve body, valve stem, etc. When maintenance is needed, simply replace the diaphragm, which is easy to operate and cost-effective.
Precautions for using manual diaphragm valves:
1. Installation aspect:
-Ensure that the model and specifications of the valve match the requirements of the pipeline system, including connection methods (such as flange connections, threaded connections, etc.), nominal diameter, nominal pressure, and other parameters.
-Before installation, carefully clean the debris inside the pipeline to prevent impurities from entering the valve, damaging the diaphragm or affecting the normal closing of the valve.
-Install according to the flow direction markings of the valve, ensuring that the flow direction of the medium is consistent with the direction specified by the valve, otherwise it may affect the sealing performance and flow characteristics of the valve.
2. In terms of operation:
-When operating the handwheel, apply even force to avoid damaging valve components or rupturing the diaphragm due to excessive force.
-During the process of opening and closing valves, attention should be paid to observing the operation of the valve. If any abnormalities are found, the operation should be stopped in a timely manner and checked.
-For frequent use, it is necessary to regularly check the tightness of the handwheel to prevent it from loosening and affecting operation.
3. Maintenance aspect:
-Regular maintenance should be carried out, including checking the condition of the diaphragm, cleaning the dirt inside the valve, lubricating the valve stem and other components.
-Manual diaphragm valves that have been out of use for a long time should be kept in a semi open position to prevent deformation of the diaphragm due to prolonged compression.
-When replacing the diaphragm, pay attention to selecting a product with the same material and specifications as the original diaphragm, and replace it according to the correct installation method to ensure that the diaphragm is firmly installed and well sealed.
