Structural principle and characteristics of float aerator
Date: 2025-03-04Read: 10
The float aerator is based on the original QXB, with single-sided intake changed to double-sided or central intake, and a floating ring (made of stainless steel or fiberglass) installed on the upper part of the intake pipe. The floating ring, intake pipe, and aerator are connected as a whole. As shown in the figure, the floating ring relies on the buoyancy of water to suspend the aerator in the water. The floating ring is pulled by three steel wire ropes, and the other end of the steel wire rope is fixed to the edge of the pool or fixed with three anchor points in the pond. During installation, place the aerator and floating ring into the water as a whole, and drag them to the designated area with steel wire ropes. Then fix the other end of the three steel wire ropes in three different directions at the edge of the pond. For ponds with larger water surfaces, three anchor points can be set up for positioning. During maintenance, simply untie the steel wire rope fixed at the edge of the pool, pull the equipment back to the edge of the pool and lift it out of the water.

The float aerator is a modification of the original QXB submersible aerator (with a submersible motor), which was positioned at the bottom of the pool by its own weight, to a floating installation using dual inlet pipes and suspended in the water by a floating ring. During the installation and maintenance of the QXB aerator, if there is water in the sewage tank and personnel cannot operate it, a crane needs to be inserted into the tank for lifting or transporting after draining the water. This installation form must have a hard foundation or platform as support. The improved design of the FQB aerator not only works in the aeration tank, but also in soft foundation environments such as oxidation ponds, fish ponds, landscape lakes, sewage channels, and rivers. Therefore, the improved design of the FQB makes installation more convenient, time-saving, and labor-saving, and expands the scope of use of submersible aeration.
Structural characteristics of float aerator:
1. Floating positioning, easy to install, can be freely arranged and moved without interrupting process operation;
2. Compact design structure, utilizing self-priming function without the need for external air source, with even and uniform bubbles;
3. Underwater operation of the host, no ground equipment, low noise;
4. It can be directly used in large areas of water such as oxidation ponds, rivers, and fish ponds without any infrastructure;
5. It also has a stirring function during aeration.
