What industries can secondary reverse osmosis pure water equipment be widely used in?
Date: 2025-09-19Read: 10
The secondary reverse osmosis pure water equipment plays a key role in multiple industries with strict water quality requirements due to its efficient removal of impurities, stable water production, and low maintenance costs. The following are its main application areas:
1. Pharmaceutical and Medical Industry
Used for the preparation of injection water, hemodialysis water, and pharmaceutical process water, it must meet the GMP standards of sterility and no pyrogen. For example, hospitals use a two-stage reverse osmosis+EDI process to produce water with a resistivity of over 18.2 M Ω· cm, ensuring the safety of medical device cleaning and formulation.
2. Electronics and Semiconductor Manufacturing
Produce ultrapure water (conductivity ≤ 0.1 μ S/cm) for use in chip cleaning, wafer manufacturing, and other processes, requiring the removal of sodium and calcium ions to avoid metal corrosion. Partial scenarios are paired with terminal polishing mixed beds to meet trace analysis requirements.
3. Food and beverage processing
Remove odors, microorganisms, and impurities to ensure the taste and safety of mineral water, dairy products, beer, and other products. For example, beverage production requires controlling the calcium and magnesium ion content to stabilize the flavor.
4. Electricity and chemical industry
The hardness of boiler feedwater should be less than 0.03mmol/L, and the risk of scaling should be reduced through reverse osmosis; In chemical production, circulating cooling water requires chloride ions to be less than 50ppm, which needs to be combined with ion exchange technology.
5. Desalination of seawater and special scenarios
The chloride content in island areas is reduced from 100-160mg/L to below 20mg/L through secondary reverse osmosis, solving the problem of salty taste in residents' drinking water. Ships or high salt alkali areas also rely on this technology to achieve freshwater supply.
6. Other fields
Laboratory: Ultra pure water is required to support precision experiments (such as HPLC).
Automobiles and painting: Cleaning and painting processes require high water quality.
Agricultural irrigation: Water scarce areas achieve sustainable irrigation through desalination of sewage or seawater.
The secondary reverse osmosis equipment can adapt to the water quality needs of different industries through the "pretreatment+two-stage RO membrane" process, and its core advantages lie in deep purification and long-term operational stability.
