Proper maintenance of your electronic leak detector is essential. Carefully following the following guidelines will reduce malfunctions and increase the lifespan of this instrument. Be sure to turn off the power before replacing the probe, otherwise it may cause slight electric shock!

1、 Probe cleaning: Use the included protective cover to prevent dust, water vapor, and grease from blocking the probe. Do not use this instrument without a protective cover. Before using this instrument, check that the probe and protective cover are free of dust or grease.

1. Pull down the protective cover

2. Clean the protective cover with industrial towels or compressed air

3. If the probe itself is also dirty, it can be immersed in an alcohol isothermal and cleaning agent for a few seconds, and then cleaned with compressed air or industrial towels. Never use solvents such as gasoline, turpentine, mineral oil, etc., as they will remain on the probe and reduce instrument sensitivity.

2、 Probe replacement: The probe will eventually fail and needs to be replaced. Due to the direct correlation between probe lifespan and usage conditions and frequency, it is difficult to predict an accurate replacement time. When an alarm or instability occurs in clean and pure air, the probe should be replaced.

The steps for replacing the probe are as follows:

1. Confirm that the instrument is in the off state

2. Rotate the old probe counterclockwise

3. Rotate the spare probe provided in the packaging box clockwise.
