Principles and Applications of Injection Water Storage Tanks

1、 Principle
1. Sealing and pressure control
The injection water storage tank ensures no liquid leakage through strict sealing design, and the internal pressure control system maintains the stability of the storage environment.
2. Material characteristics
The tank body is made of corrosion-resistant and non-toxic materials (such as stainless steel) to meet the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry for sterility and chemical stability.
3. Temperature and cycle guarantee
Combining thermal storage technology (such as insulation above 70 ℃) and independent circulation system to inhibit microbial growth and ensure water quality meets pharmacopoeia standards.
4. Integrated water quality treatment
Storage tanks are usually combined with pre-treatment systems such as reverse osmosis and distillation, and injection water needs to be stored after sterilization filtration (such as 0.22 μ m filter).
2、 Application
1. Production of sterile preparations
Used for preparing injections, sterile flushing agents, etc., directly used as solvents or raw material refining water sources.
2. Equipment and packaging cleaning
As the final cleaning water for sterile drug production equipment and packaging materials, to avoid secondary pollution.
3. Circular allocation system
Transported to the point of use through insulated circulation pipelines to meet the needs of continuous production and reduce the risk of microbial contamination.
4. Pharmaceutical process support
Provide stable and pyrogen free water sources in the production of freeze-dried formulations, biological products, etc.
5. Key design requirements
Anti pollution measures: Storage tanks and pipelines should be easy to disassemble and clean, and the material should be non-toxic and corrosion-resistant.
Real time monitoring: equipped with flow, pressure, and temperature sensors, coupled with an automated control system to achieve dynamic adjustment.
The above design and application must comply with GMP standards to ensure that injection water meets sterile requirements throughout the entire process from preparation to storage.
