The surface of the filter plate is designed with pockmarks and protrusions to support the filter cloth. The center and corner through holes form material conveying channels, and the filter cloth seals the gap between the filter plates to achieve filtration. Structure and working principle of box filter press

1. Filter plate and filter chamber

The filter chamber is composed of two adjacent concave filter plates, and the filter cloth is fixed on each filter plate. The filter cake is stored in the filter chamber.

The material of the filter plate is usually reinforced polypropylene or other corrosion-resistant materials, which have high strength and acid and alkali resistance.

2. Working process of box filter press

Feed filtration: The feed pump sends the suspension into the filter chamber, and the filtrate passes through the filter cloth and is discharged through the groove, forming a filter cake of solids.

Washing and Pressing: After filtration, washing water or compressed air can be introduced for further dehydration. The diaphragm filter press can also reduce the moisture content of the filter cake through high-pressure pressing.

Unloading and Cleaning: After removing the filter cake, clean the filter cloth and re press the filter plate to enter the next cycle.
