In the early days of drug production and packaging in China, manual packaging was mainly used. Later, with the development of production and technological progress, mechanical packaging was gradually adopted The automatic box packing machines that were used early on were mainly imported from abroad. In the mid-1970s, Tianjin Lisheng Pharmaceutical Factory and Shanghai Xinyi Pharmaceutical Factory imported fully automatic box packing machines produced by the Italian company "Yima". However, due to the quality of packaging materials and the processing and production of drug boxes in China at that time not meeting the requirements of machine packaging, the automatic box packing machines could not be used normally. Therefore, fully automatic box packing machines have not been widely used in China. For a long time, China's drug production had to abandon automatic box packing and adopt manual operation, with extremely low efficiency. In the 1980s, especially after the reform and opening up, related technologies in the field of drug production in China developed rapidly. There has been significant progress in the quality of packaging materials and the processing and production of medicine boxes, The fully automatic box packing machine began to be widely used, and at this time, the automatic drug box packing machine also changed the situation where foreign products dominated the world. Domestic drug box packing machines began to be launched and widely used. Since the appearance of the HDZ-60 fully automatic box packing machine produced by a packaging machinery company in Shanghai at the National Drug Machinery Expo in the late 1990s, some large production enterprises have begun to use domestically produced fully automatic box packing machines to replace manual packaging. Some related pharmaceutical production enterprises in China are also constantly developing and producing new fully automatic drug box packing machines with more comprehensive functions.

At present, there are a wide variety and complete number of domestically produced automatic drug packaging machines in China, which can basically meet the packaging needs of various dosage forms of drugs produced by domestic drug manufacturers. According to different classification methods, the fully automatic packaging machines currently produced in China can be divided into several types. If there are four main series according to the different packaging materials, they can be divided into BPK packaging G type, namely blister board type injection type and ointment type fully automaticBox packing machine, etc; If we look at the operating speed of the automatic box packing machine, it can be divided into three categories. At present, there is a significant gap in the technological content of the products produced by well-known domestic manufacturers of automatic drug packaging machines compared to similar foreign products. In terms of market competitiveness, they only have a slight advantage in the mid to low end market. The market share of domestic automatic drug packaging machines is only about 30%, and the rest of the market is divided by imported products. Currently, many large-scale drug manufacturers in China still mainly use imported automatic drug packaging machines, which is mainly due to the fact that the comprehensive performance of domestic automatic drug packaging machines cannot meet the needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers. Although the price of imported automatic drug packaging machines is much higher than that of domestic ones, in recent years, except for some professional manufacturers of automatic drug packaging machines, Outside of manufacturers, Some universities and research institutes in China have also participated in the development and production of automatic drug packaging machines. We believe that relying on the research strength of various universities and research institutes, the development and production of domestic automatic drug packaging machines will have significant potential in the near futurebreakthrough
