What are the methods for crushing materials with a crusher?
Date: 2016-04-27Read: 7

The development of crushing machinery is increasing, but the crushing methods of each machine are different. Some methods involve squeezing, bending, impacting, shearing, and grinding materials. Small household crushers point out that their force application methods are different, and if only one method is used for crushing, the effect is far inferior to the simultaneous existence of several force application methods. The following are several methods summarized for using mechanical force to crush materials according to different applied forces.

1、 Crushing method: only applicable to large materials. Place the material between two working surfaces, apply pressure to the material, and crush it when the pressure reaches its compressive strength.
2、 Splitting: It is achieved by applying a tensile force on a flat surface that exceeds the tensile strength of the material in its natural direction, allowing for faster crushing of the material. The operation method is to place the material between a plane and a working plane with sharp edges. When the working plane with sharp edges squeezes the material, it will split along the direction of the pressure line.
3、 Crushed materials are crushed by bending stress. A simply supported or multi supported beam with two or more points that is subjected to concentrated load on the crushed material is broken and shattered when the bending stress of the material reaches its bending strength
4、 The impact crushing material is crushed by the impact force, and its crushing force is instantaneous. It has high crushing efficiency, large crushing ratio, and low energy consumption. There are several situations of impact crushing: (1) the impact of the moving working body on the material; (2) The high-speed moving material impacts the fixed working surface; (3) High speed moving materials collide with each other; (4) The high-speed moving working body impacts the suspended material. After being subjected to a certain amount of pressure and shear force between the ground material and the moving working surface, the shear stress reaches the maximum shear strength of the material, and the material is crushed; Or the shearing and grinding effects caused by friction between materials result in material crushing.
