The widespread application of cell culture bioreactors

Cell culture bioreactor is a system that uses engineered equipment to simulate the internal environment of living organisms, and achieves efficient cell expansion or product synthesis by precisely regulating key parameters. Widely used in the following five fields:
1. Biopharmaceuticals
Antibody and vaccine production: The CHO cell suspension culture system is used for the large-scale preparation of monoclonal antibodies (concentrations up to 1-5 mg/mL), vaccines, and other biological products, and the upgrading of reactors has become an industry standard.
Gene therapy vectors: Virus vectors (such as AAV) are efficiently amplified in perfusion bioreactors.
2. Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy
Stem cell expansion: Microcarrier combined with stirred tank reactor for large-scale cultivation of mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) or induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs).
Organizational engineering: Bioreactors provide dynamic mechanical stimulation to promote the functional construction of myocardial cells, cartilage tissue, and other tissues.
3. Industrial Biotechnology
Enzyme preparations and chemicals: Microbial fermentation produces industrial enzymes, organic acids, and biofuels, with modular systems supporting rapid process scaling up.
Food Technology: Cultivation of Artificial Meat Cells and Development of Fermented Foods.
4. Environmental remediation
Degradation microorganisms efficiently treat organic pollutants (such as petroleum hydrocarbons) in lift type reactors, shortening the soil remediation cycle.
5. Research and Education
Desktop microreactors are used for drug screening, toxicity testing, and university experimental teaching.
