The daily maintenance of purified water equipment is very important, mainly paying attention to the following points:
Preprocessing section
-Filter maintenance: Regularly (such as weekly or bi weekly) backwash quartz sand filters and activated carbon filters to remove trapped impurities and ensure filtration efficiency. When backwashing, pay attention to observing the drainage situation. When the drainage is clear, backwashing can be stopped. For water softeners, resin should be regenerated regularly, usually once a month or every two months depending on the water usage and quality.
-Check pressure: Check the inlet and outlet pressure of each filter in the raw water booster pump and pretreatment section every day to ensure that the pressure is within the normal range. If the pressure rises abnormally, it may be due to filter blockage; The decrease in pressure may be due to pump malfunction or pipeline leakage.
Reverse osmosis section
-Membrane component maintenance: Regularly (such as monthly) perform chemical cleaning on the reverse osmosis membrane to remove fouling, organic matter, microorganisms, and other pollutants from the membrane surface. Cleaning agents should be selected according to the type of pollutant, such as citric acid for removing inorganic scale, sodium hydroxide and sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate for cleaning organic pollutants. During the cleaning process, it is necessary to strictly follow the operating procedures, control the concentration, temperature, and cleaning time of the cleaning solution.
-Monitoring of operating parameters: Check the operating pressure, flow rate, recovery rate, and other parameters of the reverse osmosis device daily. Excessive operating pressure may cause membrane damage, and high recovery rates can affect water quality and membrane lifespan. Meanwhile, pay attention to the conductivity meter to ensure that the conductivity of the produced water meets the requirements. If the conductivity increases, it may indicate a decrease in membrane performance or leakage.
Post processing section
-Maintenance of sterilization equipment: If it is an ultraviolet sterilization device, the ultraviolet lamp tube should be replaced regularly (quarterly) to ensure the sterilization effect. For ozone sterilization equipment, it is necessary to regularly check the operation of the ozone generator, including ozone production, concentration, etc., while paying attention to the residual amount of ozone in water that meets safety standards.
-Terminal filter replacement: Regularly (monthly or bi monthly) replace the microporous filter element to prevent filter clogging, bacterial growth, and affect water quality.
other aspects
-Water quality monitoring: Daily sampling and testing of purified water quality, including pH, microbial limits, heavy metal content, and other indicators, to ensure that the water quality meets the requirements for medical or production use.
-Equipment cleaning: Keep the surface of the equipment clean to prevent dust and debris from entering the interior of the equipment and causing adverse effects on its operation. Regularly (weekly) clean the outer surface and surrounding environment of the equipment.
-Pipeline maintenance: Check whether there is any water leakage in the pipelines connected to the equipment, especially at the interfaces and valve positions. At the same time, it is necessary to regularly disinfect the pipelines to prevent the growth of microorganisms.
