1、 Precautions for use
1. Operating standards
Only used in fully open or fully closed state, prohibited for flow regulation to prevent accelerated wear and erosion of the sealing surface.
When opening and closing, the handwheel should be manually rotated. It is strictly prohibited to use levers or other tools to avoid damaging the valve components.
High temperature environments (such as exceeding 200 ℃) should be stopped from use to prevent sealing material failure.
2. Installation requirements
Before installation, it is necessary to verify the valve pressure and diameter parameters, remove transportation dirt, and ensure the cleanliness of the valve body.
The flange bolts should be tightened diagonally and evenly to prevent valve stem jamming or leakage.
The flow direction of the medium must comply with the design (such as the globe valve should be "low in, high out"), and the lift check valve can only be installed horizontally.
3. Security protection
The operator must hold a certificate to work, and the opening and closing actions should be slow to avoid severe impact.
When stored for a long time, both ends should be sealed and stored indoors in a ventilated and dry environment to prevent rusting.
2、 Maintenance and upkeep methods
1. Regular cleaning and lubrication
Keep the valve surface and transmission threads clean, and lubricate them regularly (such as applying molybdenum disulfide lithium grease to the valve stem threads).
Replace the gear oil (ISO VG320) after the first 500 hours of operation of the gearbox, and replace it every 2000 hours thereafter.
2. Sealing performance testing
Conduct a pressure holding test at 1.1 times the working pressure every month, and the leakage rate must comply with the GB/T 13927 standard.
When scratches are found on the sealing surface, use alumina grinding paste to repair and control the roughness within Ra ≤ 0.4 μ m.
3. Key component maintenance
Check the bending degree of the valve stem (≤ 0.2mm), wear of the sealing surface, and aging of the packing, and replace damaged parts in a timely manner.
The installation of the packing should be staggered by 120 degrees, and the cover bolts should be evenly tightened.
4. Long term storage management
Inventory valves should be regularly checked for lubrication status and opened and closed every six months to maintain flexibility.
It is recommended to use stainless steel material for special media (such as corrosive fluids) and shorten the maintenance cycle.
Through standardized operation and systematic maintenance, the service life of hard sealed butterfly valves can be significantly extended, especially suitable for high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive media environments.
