The opening and closing components of a stop valve (Globe Valve) are plug shaped valve discs, with a flat or conical sealing surface. The valve disc moves linearly along the centerline of the valve seat. The movement form of valve stem, commonly known as concealed stem, can also be used to control the flow of various types of fluids such as air, water, steam, various corrosive media, mud, oil, liquid metal, and radioactive media through lifting and rotating stem. Therefore, this type of shut-off valve is very suitable for use as a cut-off, regulating, and throttling valve.
