Common faults and solutions of fuel steam boilers

1. Ignition failure or automatic shutdown
Reason: Insufficient gas supply (valve not open, pipeline blocked), ignition system failure (electrode carbon deposition, solenoid valve damage), unstable air pressure or aging thermocouple.
Handling:
Check gas valves and pipelines, clean nozzles or replace solenoid valves.
Clean the ignition needle and adjust the spacing to 3-4mm, replace the aging thermocouple.
Ensure stable power supply voltage (≥ 1.2V).
2. Poor combustion or abnormal flame
Reason: Low fuel temperature, improper throttle adjustment, water content in the oil or nozzle blockage.
Handling:
Preheat the fuel to around 50 ℃ and adjust the throttle opening to a reasonable range.
Replace fuel or drain, clean the carbon deposits on the burner.
3. Abnormal water level (full/short)
Full water: When the water level exceeds+75mm, manually reduce the water supply and open the emergency drain valve; Stop the boiler and check the water level gauge in severe cases.
Water shortage: Verify the water level gauge and manually replenish water when the water level is below -75mm; Complete disappearance requires emergency shutdown of the furnace.
4. Safety valve or valve leakage
Reason: Spring failure, damaged mating surface, or bent valve stem.
Solution: Adjust pressure parameters, grind the joint surface, or replace the sealing packing.
5. Excessive exhaust temperature or secondary combustion
Solution: Reduce load, adjust air coal ratio, close baffle and ventilate after emergency shutdown.
6. Mechanical failure (coking, blockage)
Coking: Stop the furnace and clean the circulating ash, controlling the coal particle size to be ≤ 8mm.
Blockage: After reducing the load, repair the slag discharge pipe and replace the leaking valve.
7. Other precautions
Regularly clean the ash accumulation in the combustion chamber and check the stability of water pressure and voltage.
Newly installed boilers require chemical cleaning and pipe blowing to avoid residual impurities.
