Operation steps of particle 3D dynamic image analyzer
Date: 2025-09-23Read: 4
1、 Equipment preparation
1. Install the spotlight, objective lens (recommended to calibrate from 4x), and industrial camera, and connect the data cable to the computer.
2. After turning on the power, install the camera driver, encryption dongle driver, and main program in sequence to complete system initialization.
2、 Calibration and parameter setting
1. Place the side micrometer on the stage and calibrate the 10 ×, 40 ×, and 100 × objective lenses proportionally using a 10 μ m ruler.
2. Create a new analysis task in the software, select the scale coefficient of the corresponding objective lens, and set the acquisition resolution (such as 2000 × 2000 pixels).
3、 Dynamic image acquisition
1. Place the dispersed sample in a flow cell or microfluidic chip and capture the particle motion trajectory using a high-speed CMOS camera (frame rate 100-10000 fps).
2. Adjust automatic exposure and white balance to ensure clear particle edges and no halo interference.
4、 Data Processing and Analysis
1. Extract particle contours using grayscale threshold segmentation or machine learning algorithms, and calculate 43 morphological parameters such as equivalent diameter, aspect ratio, roundness, etc.
2. Analyze the particle thickness distribution through a 3D imaging module and generate a dynamic particle size distribution curve by combining statistics.
5、 Key precautions
1. Sample requirements: Adequate dispersion and moderate concentration are required to avoid particle overlap affecting measurement accuracy.
2. Dynamic tracking: High speed cameras need to match the particle motion speed to ensure trajectory continuity (such as graphite negative electrode material testing requiring ≥ 500fps).
3. Data validation: It is recommended to collect images from multiple regions (≥ 5 images) to improve statistical reliability.
