Introduction to the working principle and some applications of nanoscale homogenizer
Date: 2024-08-19Read: 4
A nanoscale homogenizer, also known as a nanoscale homogenizer or high-pressure homogenizer, is a device capable of homogenizing materials at the nanoscale. It refines particles, droplets, or bubbles in materials to the nanometer level through physical means such as high pressure and high shear force, thereby improving the physical properties and chemical stability of materials. The following is a detailed introduction about the nanoscale homogenizer:
1、 Working principle
The working principle of the nanoscale homogenizer is mainly based on high-pressure homogenization technology. Inside the equipment, materials are pumped into the homogenization chamber by a high-pressure pump. When passing through specially designed homogenization valves or impact rings, the materials are subjected to high shear forces, impact forces, and pressure differentials, resulting in the refinement and uniform dispersion of particles, droplets, or bubbles in the materials. This refinement process helps improve the flowability, stability, solubility, and bioavailability of materials.
2、 Application Fields
Nanoscale homogenizers have a wide range of applications in various fields, including but not limited to:
♦ Life sciences and pharmaceuticals: used for the preparation of drug formulations, such as emulsions, suspensions, liposomes, etc., to improve the stability and bioavailability of drugs.
♦ Food industry: Used for homogenization treatment of dairy products, beverages, sauces, and other products to improve their taste, texture, and shelf life.
♦ Chemical industry: used for dispersing and refining materials such as pigments, dyes, coatings, etc., to improve the uniformity and stability of product color.
♦ Biotechnology: used in processes such as cell lysis and protein extraction to improve the purity and yield of biological products.
