Maintenance methods for stainless steel crushing units
Date: 2025-12-10Read: 20
As a key equipment in industrial production, stainless steel crushing units are widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, and chemicals. Their efficient operation directly affects production efficiency and product quality. To ensure the long-term stable operation of the equipment, extend its service life, and reduce the failure rate, it is necessary to implement scientific and standardized maintenance measures. The following provides a detailed introduction to the maintenance methods of stainless steel crushing units from five aspects: daily operation, regular maintenance, vulnerable parts management, energy-saving operation, and long-term shutdown management.
1、 Daily operation standards and inspections
Daily operations are the first line of defense against malfunctions, and operators must strictly adhere to the following standards:
1. Pre startup inspection: Before starting the equipment, it is necessary to check whether all connecting bolts and foundation bolts are tightened to ensure that there is no looseness. Gently pull the belt by hand to confirm that the rotor rotates smoothly without any jamming or friction. At the same time, check if the spindle rotation direction is correct and ensure that no hard foreign objects such as stones are mixed into the material to be crushed to prevent damage to the equipment.
2. Uniform feeding and operation monitoring: During work, uniform feeding should be maintained to avoid blocking and blocking the vehicle due to excessive material input at once. The operator should stand on the side of the crusher when feeding to prevent rebound debris from injuring the face, and should not wear gloves during operation. It is strictly prohibited to overload the motor for a long time to avoid overheating or damage.
3. Shutdown specification: After the work is completed, do not immediately stop the machine. Instead, run it idle for 2-3 minutes to allow the materials inside the machine to be completely discharged. After shutdown, thorough cleaning and maintenance work should be carried out to remove residual materials and dust, and keep the equipment clean.
2、 Weekly and Regular Maintenance Focus
Performing deep maintenance according to a fixed cycle can effectively delay equipment wear and ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment
1. Bearing lubrication and maintenance: Good lubrication of bearings is crucial. Due to the high rotational speed of the equipment, in addition to being installed correctly and securely, it is necessary to maintain good lubrication. It is recommended to add butter, molybdenum disulfide, or high-speed butter to the host bearings once a week for better results. In general, the bearing temperature should not exceed 70 degrees. If abnormal temperature rise is found, the machine should be stopped immediately for inspection.
2. Regular cleaning and oil change: The bearings of the machine should be cleaned after every 300 hours of operation. If the bearing is lubricated with engine oil, it is advisable to fill 1/3 of the bearing seat gap with new engine oil, but not more than 1/2 at most. When parking for a long time, the belt should be removed to prevent it from becoming loose or aging.
3. Lubrication system maintenance: Ensure that the lubrication system is in good condition, use the manufacturer's recommended grease or oil, and add or replace it on time. Lubricating oil should be clean and free of impurities to prevent bearing overheating or damage.
3、 Monitoring and replacement of vulnerable parts
Hammer head and screen mesh are core vulnerable parts, and their condition directly affects the crushing efficiency and quality, requiring regular monitoring and replacement:
1. Inspection and replacement of hammer blades: Regularly check the wear of the hammer blades. If the hammer blades wear out, whether changing the edges in the same direction or turning around to change the edges, the entire set of hammer blades must be replaced simultaneously. When replacing a new hammer blade, the entire set must also be replaced simultaneously, and a single hammer blade cannot be used to replace the old one, in order to ensure the balance of rotor operation.
2. Maintenance and replacement of screen mesh: Check for any defects in the screen mesh. If there is minor damage to the screen mesh, it can be repaired by riveting or soldering; If there is extensive damage, a new screen mesh needs to be replaced. When installing the screen mesh, the side of the mesh with burrs should face inward and the smooth surface should face outward. The screen piece and frame should be tightly fitted to ensure the screening effect.
4、 Energy saving operation and special working condition handling
Correct operating habits can significantly reduce energy consumption and cope with complex situations, improving equipment energy efficiency:
1. Maintain uniform and continuous feeding: During operation, try to achieve uniform and continuous feeding to avoid machine jamming or freezing caused by excessive input at once. Try to minimize the number of device restarts, as smooth operation is more energy-efficient than frequent start stop, while reducing mechanical stress.
2. Pay attention to the material condition: try to reduce the moisture content of the crushed material as much as possible, and avoid using materials with excessive viscosity to reduce adhesion inside the equipment and reduce equipment load. For special materials, it is necessary to adjust the operating parameters to adapt.
5、 Long term disuse and rust prevention management
Long term shutdown of equipment requires rust prevention measures to prevent damage caused by environmental factors
1. Cleaning and rust prevention: When the equipment is exposed to the outdoors for a long time, it is susceptible to wind and rain, and the working environment is harsh, making it easy to rust and damage. Therefore, it is necessary to thoroughly clean before parking for a long time. For rusted parts, wind or electric tools can be used for rust removal, or high-pressure water abrasive rust removal methods can be used for treatment.
2. Regular operation: Even if the equipment is not used for a long time, it is recommended to run it without load once a month to lubricate the bearings and other components and prevent rusting. At the same time, check the status of each component of the equipment to ensure that it can be put into operation at any time.
Through the above maintenance methods, the operating efficiency and reliability of stainless steel crushing units can be significantly improved, the equipment life can be extended, and solid guarantees can be provided for production. Operators need to strictly comply with regulations and flexibly adjust maintenance strategies based on actual situations to ensure that the equipment is always in the best condition.
