The daily maintenance of the drum bottle washing machine is very particular
Date: 2025-08-26Read: 6
  Drum washing machineIt is a device that uses physical methods such as water or airflow to clean, fill, and disinfect the inner, outer, bottom, and mouth of a bottle. It usually includes multiple rollers, with bottles entering the spray area for cleaning and disinfection between the rollers, then transferring between the rollers, and finally outputting the bottles from the outlet. The number of rollers varies depending on different equipment models and manufacturers. Generally speaking, small and medium-sized drum type bottle washing machines include 4-6 rollers, while large drum type bottle washing machines can have 8-12 rollers. The drum type bottle washing machine can be customized according to customer needs, so the number and arrangement of drums can also be adjusted.
  Drum bottle washing machineDaily maintenance is the key to preventing minor issues from escalating and should be carried out daily by operators or on-site maintenance personnel, with a focus on cleanliness, sealing, and operational status.
1. Pre startup inspection (to ensure that the device has no hidden dangers during startup)
Appearance and cleaning inspection
Clean the external and surrounding debris of the equipment, check whether there are residual bottles, broken glass or foreign objects in the drum inlet/outlet, conveyor belt, and water tray (to avoid bottle jamming or scratching the drum);
Check whether there is water accumulation, dirt or impurities in the cleaning tank (pre washing tank, main washing tank, fine washing tank, rinsing tank). If there is, it needs to be completely emptied and rinsed clean (to prevent contamination of the new batch of bottles to be washed).
Key component status check
Spray system: Check whether each spray pipe (pre wash, main wash, rinse) is blocked or deformed, and whether the spray nozzle is detached or damaged (can be judged by "manually rotating the spray pipe+observing the uniformity of the water outlet", and blockage needs to be cleaned with a dedicated needle);
Conveyor belt and drum: Check the tension of the conveyor belt (too loose can cause slipping, too tight can cause wear), and whether the drum rotates flexibly (there is no abnormal noise or jamming, and the oil level needs to be confirmed for parts that require food grade lubricating oil);
Sealing components: Check whether the sealing strip of the cleaning tank cover plate and the sealing strip of the door body are aging, cracking or falling off (to prevent leakage of cleaning solution, affecting the workshop environment and cleaning temperature);
Pipeline and valves: Check whether the connection parts of the inlet valve, drain valve, and steam valve (if with heating function) are leaking water or steam, and whether the valve opening and closing are smooth.
Auxiliary system inspection
Check the liquid level and concentration of cleaning solutions (such as NaOH, nitric acid, specialized cleaning agents) (supplement or adjust according to process requirements, high concentration can corrode the bottle body, low concentration can affect the cleaning effect);
Check whether the power/steam supply of the heating system (such as electric heating tubes and steam heating coils) is normal, and whether the temperature sensor is sensitive (ensure that the water temperature in the cleaning tank reaches the set value, usually pre washing at 40-60 ℃, main washing at 80-95 ℃, and rinsing at 60-80 ℃);
Check if the power wiring of the water pump (spray pump, circulation pump) is secure and if there is any abnormal noise (the water pump is the core of spray pressure, and faults can cause insufficient spray pressure and incomplete cleaning).
2. Monitoring during operation (real-time control of equipment status)
Key parameter monitoring
Real time observation of water temperature in each cleaning tank (confirmed by temperature control instruments, deviations need to be adjusted in a timely manner for heating power or steam flow), spray pressure (usually 0.2-0.4 MPa, sudden pressure drops may be due to spray pipe blockage or water pump failure);
Observe the running speed of the conveyor belt (matching the rhythm of bottle washing, too fast can lead to insufficient cleaning, too slow can lead to bottle accumulation), and check whether the bottle flipping inside the drum is smooth (without bottle jamming or bottle tipping);
Monitoring the drainage system: observe whether there is a large amount of foam at the drainage outlet (it may be that there is too much detergent or oil stain), whether there is broken glass discharged (it needs to stop the machine immediately to check whether the drum is damaged).
exception handling
If there is insufficient spray pressure: first stop the machine to check if the spray nozzle is blocked, and then check if there are impurities blocking the inlet of the water pump;
If the "water temperature does not meet the standard" occurs: for electric heating type, check whether the heating tube is broken, and for steam heating type, check whether the steam valve is blocked or the steam pressure is insufficient;
If there is a "stuck bottle/inverted bottle": immediately stop the machine, clean the stuck bottle body, and check whether the conveyor belt height and drum spacing are offset (recalibration is required).
3. Cleaning and resetting after shutdown (in preparation for the next operation)
Thoroughly emptying and cleaning
Turn off all power sources, steam valves, and inlet valves, and drain the residual cleaning solution from each cleaning tank (to avoid long-term corrosion of the tank or pipeline by the cleaning agent);
Rinse the cleaning tank, spray pipe, and drum interior with purified water (or water that meets the process requirements) until the discharged water is clear (without residual cleaning agents or dirt);
Disassemble the easily detachable spray nozzle and filter screen (located at the bottom of the cleaning tank or at the inlet of the water pump), clean the internal impurities with a brush, and then reinstall them in their original position;
Clean the accumulated water and dirt on the outside of the equipment and the water tray, wipe them clean with a cloth, and keep the equipment dry (to prevent mold growth or component corrosion).
State reset and recording
Adjust the conveyor belt and drum to the "initial standby position", close the equipment door, and cut off the main power supply;
