Self cleaning filters play an important role in modern water treatment systems. Although they have automatic cleaning functions that reduce manual maintenance work, proper use and maintenance are still very important. The following is a detailed guide for the use and maintenance of self-cleaning filters:
Self cleaning filterInstructions for use
• Activate manual cleaning: Rotate the selection switch on the control panel to the "manual" position to start the cleaning program. Depending on the specific design of the filter, it may be necessary to press or rotate a button or switch to initiate the cleaning process. This usually activates the cleaning mechanism of the filter, such as a suction nozzle or scraper, to start cleaning impurities on the filter or cartridge.
• Turn on the drain: At the same time or after the filter starts cleaning, manually open the drain valve to discharge the cleaned impurities outside the filter. Ensure smooth discharge of impurities without any blockage.
Monitoring the cleaning process: During the cleaning process, the pressure gauge of the filter should be monitored to ensure that the pressure is within a safe range and there is no abnormal increase.
• End cleaning: After the cleaning process is completed and impurities are discharged, close the drain valve to prevent further fluid loss. Operate the corresponding control switch or button again to stop the operation of the cleaning mechanism and return the filter to the filtering state.
• Switch back to automatic mode: After cleaning is complete, rotate the selection switch back to the "automatic" or "timed" position so that the filter can resume operation in automatic control mode.

Component inspection: Pay attention to the condition of the control box, sensors, and transmission parts to ensure that the direction of water flow is consistent with the direction of the body arrow. The filter should be installed near the water equipment to ensure the normal supply of water flow and the collaborative work between devices. The length of the sewage pipe should not exceed 10 meters, as excessively long pipes may affect the efficiency of sewage discharge.
Regular inspection and cleaning: Regular inspection of the filter screen and cleaning device is key to ensuring the normal operation of the filter. Check the filter screen every 1-3 months. If there are many impurities accumulating on the surface of the filter screen, it needs to be cleaned in a timely manner. When cleaning the filter screen, it is necessary to turn off the water pump, start the cleaning device to make the automatic cleaning system work, and restore the water pump to work after the cleaning is completed.
Pressure difference management: When the pressure difference of the filter exceeds 1.5 times the initial pressure difference, cleaning should be carried out; If the pressure difference exceeds 1.8 times the initial pressure difference, the filter screen needs to be replaced; If the pressure difference is lower than the initial pressure difference, it may be due to filter damage or leakage, and the filter also needs to be replaced.
Environmental maintenance: The environment around the filter should be kept dry to prevent moisture from damaging electrical components or breeding bacteria.
Establish maintenance records: record the time of inspection and replacement of the filter screen, the date and method of cleaning and maintenance, any problems found, and the corresponding solutions. By regularly reviewing maintenance records, equipment problems can be identified and resolved in a timely manner.
