Application characteristics and structural composition of laboratory spray granulator
Date: 2025-02-18Read: 8
Laboratory spray granulator is an advanced equipment widely used in laboratory environment. Its working principle is mainly based on spray drying technology. First, liquid or slurry materials are sent into the nozzle of the equipment, and the materials are evenly spray into tiny droplets by high-pressure gas or centrifugal force. Subsequently, these droplets are introduced into the drying chamber and come into contact with high-temperature hot air. At high temperatures, the water in droplets evaporates rapidly, forming dry particles. These particles are then collected and processed by a collection device to obtain the desired granular material.
Application characteristics of laboratory spray granulator:
1. Granulation particle size is adjustable: the laboratory spray granulator can produce particles with an adjustable particle size of 5~250 microns to meet the needs of different experiments and production.
2. Wide application range: This device is widely used in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, biopharmaceutical and other fields, such as granulation of milk powder, egg yolk, soy sauce, coffee, starch, protein, hormones, serum, antibiotics, enzymes, spices, extracts, etc.
3. Simple operation: the laboratory spray granulator is reasonably designed, easy to operate, easy to maintain and clean.
4. High degree of automation: modern laboratory spray granulators are usually equipped with advanced control systems, which can realize automatic operation and improve production efficiency and product quality.

Main components and functions of laboratory spray granulator:
1. Heating system: composed of an electric heater or ceramic electric heating wire, used to heat atmospheric air to the high-temperature air required for the process.
2. Feeding system: Liquid material is pumped to the top nozzle by a peristaltic pump or other conveying device.
3. Spray system: the nozzle atomizes the liquid into micron sized droplets to ensure uniform dispersion of droplets.
4. Drying chamber: In contact with high-temperature hot air, the moisture in the droplets evaporates rapidly, forming dry particles.
5. Collection system: devices such as cyclone separators and bottom collection bottles are used to collect and process dried particles.
