What are the precautions for the use of laboratory spray granulator?
Date: 2025-12-30Read: 6
Laboratory spray granulator is an efficient equipment, which is used to transform liquid materials into uniform particles and is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, chemical and other fields. The core principle is to disperse the liquid into tiny droplets through an atomizer, quickly dry and solidify them in hot air, and form high-quality particles. To ensure safe operation, stable equipment operation, and product quality, the following precautions must be strictly followed.
1、 Preparation before operation
1Material inspection and pre-processing:
Ensure that the liquid material is free of impurities, clumps, and has good fluidity to avoid clogging the atomizer. For thermosensitive materials (such as biological enzymes or drugs), temperature resistance should be tested in advance, and an appropriate inlet air temperature should be set to protect the active ingredients.
The material concentration and temperature need to be adjusted to a suitable range to ensure atomization effect and particle uniformity.
2Equipment inspection and cleaning:
Check whether the atomizer, fan, heating system, and gas-solid separation device (such as filter bag) are normal, confirm that there are no leaks in the pipeline, and that the valves are in the correct state.
Thoroughly clean the interior of the equipment, especially the air inlet components and drying chamber, to prevent residue from affecting operation or causing pollution.
3Parameter Settings:
Set the inlet air temperature (usually 80-180 ℃), outlet air temperature and spray rate according to the material characteristics to avoid material denaturation or equipment coking caused by high temperature.
Use PLC control system to preset parameters and ensure the accuracy of automated adjustment.
4Environment and personal protection:
Keep the operating area clean and ventilated to avoid the accumulation of harmful gases; Check the grounding of the equipment to prevent static electricity risks.
Operators are required to wear protective equipment (such as heat-resistant gloves and dust masks), tie up long hair, and prohibit wearing loose accessories.
2、 Precautions during operation
1Startup sequence:
First, turn on the induced draft fan and heating system. After the temperature stabilizes, start the atomizer and feed pump to prevent heat accumulation or wet material sticking to the wall.
2operation monitoring:
Real time observation of inlet/outlet air temperature, pressure, and material flow rate. Any abnormal fluctuations (such as sudden temperature rise) require immediate adjustment of feed speed or inspection of the atomizer.
Pay attention to the quality of particle molding to ensure uniform size; When the wall adhesion is severe, the inlet air temperature can be increased or the feed rate can be reduced.
3Safety Specifications:
It is strictly prohibited to open the maintenance door or touch rotating parts during operation; When handling organic solvents, use an inert gas sealed system and install explosion-proof devices.
Maintain operational focus and avoid distractions; Press the emergency stop button immediately in case of emergency.
3、 Post operation maintenance
1Shutdown steps:
Stop feeding first and wait for the temperature in the drying room to drop to a safe range (such as below 80 ℃) before turning off the heating system and fan to prevent waste heat from damaging the equipment.
2Cleaning and maintenance:
Clean the atomizer, pipeline, and drying chamber with clean water or solvent to prevent residue blockage; Regularly check the wear of filter bags and cutting tools, and replace them in a timely manner.
Lubricate transmission components, calibrate temperature instruments, and ensure accurate data.
3Long term storage:
After cleaning the equipment, place desiccants inside to prevent moisture and cover the outside with dust covers; Check monthly for signs of moisture or rust.
4、 Common problem handling
1Nebulizer not workingCheck the power supply and motor status, clean clogged nozzles or atomizing discs.
2粉末粘壁Increase the inlet air temperature or decrease the feed rate; Use release agents to reduce adhesion.
3Particles that are too coarse or too wetAdjust the pressure or feed rate of the atomizer and optimize the drying parameters.
Following the above precautions can significantly improve the safety, efficiency and particle quality of the laboratory spray granulator, extend the service life of the equipment, and ensure the reliability of the experimental results.
