When the water level is too high

Adjust the water supply: Immediately reduce the water supply manually or through an automatic control system, close the water supply valve, reduce the water inlet speed, and gradually restore the water level to the normal range. Meanwhile, closely monitor the changes in water level to prevent it from dropping too quickly.

Strengthen sewage discharge: Properly open the sewage valve, increase the amount of sewage discharge, accelerate the discharge of water, and lower the water level. However, during the discharge process, attention should be paid to controlling the discharge speed and time to avoid a sharp drop in water level caused by excessive discharge, and to prevent steam from being discharged with water.

Check the steam system: Check if the steam trap on the steam pipeline is working properly, promptly remove condensed water from the pipeline, and prevent water hammer from worsening due to poor drainage. At the same time, check the operation of the steam equipment and promptly discharge any accumulated water to reduce the impact of steam carrying water on the equipment.

When the water level is too low

Emergency water replenishment: Quickly activate the backup water supply system or increase the flow rate of the normal water supply system to replenish water into the steam generator. If it is an automatic water supply system, it should be checked for normal operation. If there is a malfunction, it should be immediately switched to manual operation to ensure timely water replenishment. During the water replenishment process, it is important to proceed slowly to avoid thermal shock to the heating surface caused by low water temperature or fast replenishment speed.

Reduce load: Timely reduce the load of the gas steam generator, decrease fuel supply, reduce combustion intensity, and correspondingly reduce the steam production of the equipment, thereby alleviating the trend of water level decline. At the same time, based on the severity of the water level drop, consider whether it is necessary to suspend equipment operation to avoid serious accidents such as dry boiling.

Activate emergency water source: If there is an emergency water source, such as fire water or other reserve water sources, and the water quality meets the requirements, emergency water can be introduced into the steam generator through temporary pipelines to supplement the water level. But after using emergency water sources, water quality should be treated and tested in a timely manner to prevent adverse effects on equipment.
