Operation mode of single effect evaporator
The operation modes of a single effect evaporator include intermittent, semi intermittent, continuous batch, or continuous operation. When a single effect evaporator solution evaporates inside the evaporator, the secondary steam generated is no longer utilized, and the solution is no longer passed through the second evaporator for concentration. Only one evaporator is needed to complete the evaporation operation, becoming a single effect evaporator.
Principle of single effect evaporator

Principle of single effect evaporator: Evaporation is a unit operation of solution concentration and crystallization. It uses heating to boil and evaporate non-volatile solutions in the solution, and some solutes are vaporized and removed, resulting in concentration of the solution.
The secondary steam generated by single effect evaporation does not need to further evaporate the material. After the secondary steam is removed during evaporation, it is no longer used and is only evaporated by a single device. For single effect evaporation, after a given production task and determined operating conditions, it is usually necessary to calculate the water evaporation rate, heating steam consumption, and heat transfer area of the evaporator.

Components of a single effect evaporator:
1. Preheaters and heaters. Generally, materials that require evaporation will be preheated by a preheater before entering the heating chamber. Preheaters are divided into two types: tubular preheaters and plate preheaters.
2. Evaporator. The choice of evaporator depends on the characteristics of the material to be evaporated.
3. Separators. Used for gas-liquid separation, that is, the separation of steam and liquid.
4. Pump set. Select based on the characteristics of the material to be processed for single effect evaporation.
5. Cleaning system. When evaporating materials, the evaporation equipment may produce scaling due to different products, so a cleaning system should be designed to deal with scaling.
