Instructions for using a liquid particle counter
Date: 2025-07-21Read: 8
The operation method of the liquid particle counter mainly includes several key steps, including preparation, setting, detection, and subsequent processing, to ensure accurate measurement of the number and size distribution of particles in the oil.
1、 Preparation before operation:
1. Instrument inspection: Confirm that the appearance of the counter is intact, the power and data cables are firmly connected, and check that the display screen and buttons respond normally; Check whether the supporting consumables such as sampling bottles (clean and pollution-free), connecting pipelines, filter membranes, etc. are complete.
2. Sample preparation: Select the matching mode based on the sample type (such as hydraulic oil, water-based liquid); Use specialized tools when sampling, rinse the sampling bottle at least 3 times, seal and store to avoid contamination; High viscosity samples need to be preheated or diluted.
3. Environmental preparation: The operating environment is clean (recommended clean room), with temperature controlled between 15-35 ℃ and humidity ≤ 85%, avoiding direct sunlight and vibration.
2、 Startup and parameter settings:
1. Turn on the power, preheat for 10-30 minutes, and wait for the system to stabilize; After entering the main interface, select the detection standard (such as ISO 4406 or NAS 1638), set the particle size range (such as 1-100 μ m), sampling volume (usually 5-50mL), and flushing volume (set to 10-20mL according to the length of the pipeline).
2. Connect data storage devices (such as USB drives), set automatic printing and saving formats (such as Excel or PDF); Activate the self-test function and observe if the printer and screen are responding properly.
3、 Pipeline cleaning and sample testing:
1. Connecting pipeline: Insert the injection tube into the middle position of the sample bottle, seal it to avoid secondary contamination; Connect the sample tube to the waste liquid collection bottle.
2. Pipeline flushing: Activate the "flushing" function and flush over 200mL of the pipeline with a clean solvent (such as pure water or compatible oil) at 1.5 times the working flow rate until the particle count stabilizes at a low level.
3. Start detection: Immerse the injection tube into the middle of the sample liquid surface, avoiding touching the bottom of the bottle or bubbles; Press the "Start Detection" button, and the instrument will automatically pump the sample through the sensor to monitor real-time flow abnormalities or bubble alarms.
4、 Result viewing and data processing:
1. After the detection is completed, the screen directly displays the particle pollution level data (such as cumulative value or grading value), and automatically generates a pollution level report; View historical records through the "Data Query" function and support exporting or printing results.
2. If calibration is required, enter the "Calibration Interface" to adjust the accuracy (usually operated by professional institutions, not recommended for ordinary users to touch).
5、 Cleaning and maintenance:
1. Rinse the pipeline 2-3 times with ultrapure water after each use;
2. When idle for a long time, fill the capillary tube with ultrapure water to prevent residue;
3. Regularly calibrate instruments to ensure small measurement errors.
