The selection of DWS measurement all-in-one machine directly determines the return on investment and whether it can meet business needs. Improper selection may lead to inaccurate data, efficiency bottlenecks, frequent failures, or investment waste.
Step 1: Clarify the core business requirements (ask yourself these 5 questions first)
What is the object of measurement?
Size range: What are the length, width, height, and weight of the minimum/maximum package? (For example: minimum envelope 50g, maximum tray 1.2m, 1mm, 1.5m, 500kg)
Type and surface: mainly cardboard boxes, soft bags, envelopes, or irregular objects (such as tires, parts)? Is there high reflective film, black or transparent material on the surface of the package? This directly affects the selection of measurement techniques (3D vision/light curtain) and scanners.
Through form: Is it a single package passing through at intervals, or a continuous and closely arranged (dense mode)? Is there a pallet or conveyor support?
Process and efficiency requirements?
Beat/Efficiency: How many pieces need to be measured per hour? (For example: 1000 pieces/hour, or 3000 pieces/hour?)
Process location: Where is the equipment used? This determines whether to choose static (package static measurement), dynamic (low/medium/high speed), or ultra high speed mode (at the unloading port, review table, sorting machine?).
Data integration: What systems do measurement data need to be integrated with? WMS, TMS, sorting control system, billing system? )What interface is needed? (API, database, file output?)? )

How high is the precision requirement?
Industry standards: The express delivery industry typically requires dimensions of ± 5mm and weight of ± 10g; air freight may require dimensions of ± 2mm and weight of ± 5g.
Billing sensitivity: If mainly used for precise billing (especially volume based billing), accuracy is required as errors can directly lead to financial losses.
How is the working environment?
Indoor/Outdoor: Are there any effects of temperature, humidity, dust, and changes in lighting (direct sunlight)?
Physical space: How long, wide, and high is the installation site? Are there any installation restrictions?
