The precautions for using reverse osmosis pure water equipment can be divided into three major stages: installation and commissioning, operation monitoring, and maintenance, as follows:
1、 Installation and debugging phase
1. Check the sealing of the pipeline
Before starting, it is necessary to confirm that there are no leaks in the connections between the inlet and outlet to avoid any minor leaks that may affect water quality and equipment efficiency.
2. Pre treated water quality meets the standard
The incoming water needs to be pre treated (such as filtering large particle impurities, adjusting pH value) to ensure that parameters such as turbidity and conductivity meet equipment requirements.
3. First rinse
The new equipment needs to be continuously rinsed for 15-30 minutes (RO models require half an hour of water discharge) to remove any residual protective solution or carbon powder.
2、 Key points of operation monitoring
1. Pressure and flow control
Slowly increase the pressure during startup to prevent water hammer from impacting the membrane components;
The ratio of water production to concentrated water flow should be adjusted according to the design parameters, with a recovery rate of ≤ 75%.
2. Real time monitoring of water quality
Regularly check the turbidity, pH value, and conductivity of the incoming water, and adjust immediately in case of abnormalities.
3. Observe the membrane state
When the water production drops sharply or the concentration of concentrated water increases, it indicates membrane fouling and needs to be cleaned or replaced in a timely manner.
3、 Maintenance and upkeep standards
1. Filter replacement cycle
Replace the pre-treatment filter element (cotton filter element) every 3-6 months;
Replace the activated carbon filter every 6-12 months;
The RO membrane should be replaced every 1-3 years or adjusted according to the pollution situation.
2. Regular cleaning and disinfection
Clean the entire machine every month and check the sewage outlet for blockage prevention every quarter;
Membrane components require chemical cleaning (such as citric acid solution) to remove scaling.
3. Shutdown protection measures
Long term shutdown requires emptying the stored water and adding protective agents to prevent freezing and cracking in winter;
When resuming use, drain the sewage for 3 minutes first, and then rinse with water.
4、 Safety and handling of special situations
1. Protective measures: Wear protective equipment during operation to avoid contact with chemicals or wastewater;
2. Fault response: Immediately close the inlet valve and power supply, contact after-sales service and do not disassemble by yourself;
3. When the water quality is poor: shorten the filter replacement cycle and strengthen pre-treatment.
By standardizing operations and regular maintenance, equipment can be ensured to operate efficiently and extend its service life.
