How to judge the quality of stainless steel changing cabinets?

1、 Material identification

Material grade: Priority should be given to 304 stainless steel (containing 8% -10% nickel), which can be tested with stainless steel testing solution (304 is colorless or light brown, 201 will quickly turn red). 316 stainless steel (including molybdenum) is suitable for special scenarios such as chemical and medical industries, but the cost is relatively high.

Board thickness: The thickness of high-quality cabinets is 0.6-1.2mm, and it is recommended that the load-bearing parts (such as the bottom plate) be ≥ 0.8mm. Clear sound is preferred when struck.

2、 Process inspection

Surface treatment: The drawing or polishing process should be smooth and scratch free, with uniform texture; Poor quality products may have bubbles, spots, or coating peeling.

Welding and splicing: There should be no virtual welding or burrs at the joint, and laser welding or seamless splicing technology should be preferred.

Corner treatment: Rounding or folding design can avoid scratches and enhance structural strength.

3、 Functional and stability testing

Load bearing capacity: Place heavy objects (such as books) on the laminated board and observe whether they are deformed or bent.

Drawers and door panels:

The drawer sliding should be smooth and equipped with damping rails to reduce noise.

The door panel hinge should be flexible, and high-quality hinges (such as stainless steel damping hinges) have strong load-bearing capacity and are not easy to loosen.

Stability: The cabinet should be stable and not shake when shaken lightly, and the bottom adjustment feet can adapt to uneven ground.

4、 Accessories and Details

Locks and handles: Check for firmness, inferior accessories are prone to damage.

Ventilation design: In humid environments, cabinets with ventilation holes should be selected to prevent clothing from getting moldy.

5、 Brand and after-sales service

Choose a brand that provides a 3-year warranty and material certification to avoid low-priced and inferior products.

6、 Adaptation to usage scenarios

Damp environment (such as bathroom): 304 stainless steel+moisture-proof design.
