Requirements for stainless steel sinks in operating rooms

The stainless steel sink in the operating room must meet the following core requirements:

Material standards

304 stainless steel (06Cr19Ni10 or higher corrosion-resistant grade) must be used to ensure corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and no damage to the instrument.

The surface needs to be polished, and the welding points should be smooth without pores, in accordance with GB/T 38474-2020 standard.

Size and Design

The recommended minimum size is 61cm × 41cm × 25cm, with a depth of ≥ 20cm to prevent splashing water.

Non touch faucets must be equipped and kept at a distance of at least 1 meter from the hospital bed or cleaning area.

Installation and maintenance

When installing, it needs to be parallel to the wall, making it easier to clean the basin under the platform.

Use chlorine containing disinfectant to scrub daily to avoid cleaning dirt.

Safety and Testing

Antibacterial performance testing (antibacterial rate ≥ 95%) and skin irritation testing are required.

After the load-bearing performance test, the bottom deformation should be less than 3mm.
