The use of quick release clamp butterfly valves requires special attention to installation, operation, and maintenance. Specific precautions are as follows:
1、 Installation specifications
1. Pipeline matching and preprocessing
Confirm that the clamp interface complies with ISO 2852 or DIN 32676 standards, and the sealing gasket material needs to be compatible with the medium (silicone/EPDM for food grade, PTFE for corrosive media). Thoroughly clean the end face of the pipeline before installation, remove burrs, and polish to a roughness of ≤ Ra 1.6 μ m to avoid scratching the sealing ring.
2. Alignment and fastening
Use a laser alignment instrument to calibrate the valve and pipeline, ensuring that the coaxiality error is ≤ 0.3 °. It is strictly prohibited to forcefully pull the pipeline to cause deformation of the valve plate. The clamp bolts need to be tightened gradually in diagonal order, and the torque of the DN50 valve should be controlled at 20-25Nm to prevent uneven compression of the sealing ring.
3. Installation of actuator
When connecting the valve stem of pneumatic/electric actuators, it is necessary to calibrate the mechanical limits of 0 ° (fully closed) and 90 ° (fully open). When wiring, the power cable and signal line should be laid separately, and the grounding resistance should be ≤ 1 Ω.
2、 Operation restrictions
1. Opening control
The maximum opening is recommended to be<60 ° to avoid unstable torque zones, avoid long-term operation at<10% opening, and prevent valve impact.
2. Media and pressure taboos
Prohibited for media containing hard particles (such as gravel), direct use without a filter will damage the sealing surface; High pressure differential scenarios may cause valve plate deformation, and the pressure resistance level of the valve needs to be confirmed. The working temperature limit is -20 ℃~+70 ℃, and the humidity is ≤ 90% RH.
3、 Maintenance requirements
1. Daily inspection
Check the condition of cylinder grease every month and replenish lubricating grease; Regularly test the sealing performance (maintain pressure at 0.6MPa for 5 minutes, leakage rate ≤ 50ppm).
2. Fault handling
If the valve starts slowly, synchronously adjust the stroke screws at both ends of the cylinder; When the seal leaks, it needs to be disassembled for maintenance, replaced with worn sealing rings, and retested for water pressure.
3. Disassemble and clean
For frequent disassembly scenarios (such as the food and pharmaceutical industry), clamp type is preferred. After cleaning, the sealing gasket needs to be coated with food grade lubricant for easy reinstallation.
Key tip: The advantage of clamp butterfly valves is quick disassembly and assembly, but it is necessary to ensure that the sealing gasket is not twisted and the slot is free of impurities during each reset, otherwise the sealing performance will be lost.
