The working principle and characteristics of air filtration respirators are as follows:
1、 Working principle
1. Multi layer filtering mechanism
By filtering the adsorption layer, absorption layer, and catalytic layer in the device, harmful substances such as carbon monoxide, smoke, and dust are removed from the air, and the treated clean air is transported to the mask for the user to breathe. The core filter layer usually contains activated carbon and high-efficiency filter materials, which can intercept particulate matter (such as PM2.5) and chemical gas molecules.
2. Dynamic equilibrium and gas exchange
Adopting the design of inhalation valve and exhalation valve, the external air is purified by the filter element and enters the mask during inhalation, while the exhaust gas is directly discharged from the outside during exhalation to avoid air flow mixing. Some models achieve pressure balance inside and outside the storage tank through microporous filters, ensuring smooth air exchange.
2、 Main features
1. Lightweight and portable
The structure is simple and compact, lightweight, and has minimal movement restrictions when worn, making it suitable for quick use in escape scenarios.
2. Protective adaptability
A full face mask design that covers the mouth, nose, eyes, and chin, using silicone material to enhance air tightness and prevent harmful substances from infiltrating;
Only applicable to environments with oxygen concentration ≥ 17%, unable to cope with oxygen deficient or highly toxic gas environments.
3. Intelligent functions
Some models are equipped with sensors for real-time monitoring of air quality and integrated with battery powered systems to support long-term stability.
4. Usage restrictions
The protection time is relatively short (usually 15-30 minutes), and the filtration efficiency is affected by the concentration of pollutants. It is necessary to regularly replace the filter element to ensure performance.
