Maintenance methods for spherical vacuum concentration tanks
Date: 2025-06-10Read: 12
The maintenance and upkeep of the spherical vacuum concentration tank should be combined with daily operating standards and regular deep maintenance. The specific methods are as follows:
1、 Basic maintenance requirements
1. Sealing system maintenance
Before each use, check the sealing points of pipeline joints, manholes, sight glasses, etc., and replace the sealing rings or fillers in a timely manner if leaks are found.
Regularly verify safety accessories such as safety valves, pressure gauges, and vacuum gauges to ensure sensitivity and reliability.
2. Cleaning standards
After each batch of production, rinse the inner wall of the tank with clean water while it is hot. Stubborn residues can be cleaned by circulating sodium hydroxide solution for half an hour.
Do not use hard brushes to scratch the tank body to prevent scratches on the stainless steel surface.
2、 Periodic maintenance operations
1. Daily maintenance
Remove solute deposits on the surface of the tank and accessories, and check the condition of vulnerable parts (such as sealing rings).
Clean the filter to avoid clogging and affecting the vacuum level.
2. Weekly maintenance
Tighten bolts, nuts, and other connecting components to ensure airtightness.
Check whether the O-ring is aging or deformed, and replace it in a timely manner.
Clear the pipeline to prevent the accumulation of impurities such as alumina.
3. Monthly maintenance
Check the lubrication status of the transmission device and replenish or replace the lubricating oil.
Calibrate temperature sensors and vacuum instruments to ensure accurate data.
Check the working condition of the vacuum pump and adjust the vacuum degree to a safe range of 0.3-0.5Mpa (avoid exceeding 0.08Mpa).
4. Annual deep maintenance
Completely replace seals and vulnerable parts, and inspect electrical circuits.
Remove scale from the heating system and restore thermal conductivity efficiency.
Use physical tools to test the sealing of the vacuum system and repair leakage points.
3、 Special maintenance of key components
1. Vacuum system
Before starting the vacuum pump, ensure that the cooling water valve is open, control the water flow appropriately, and avoid explosion or overload.
Regularly clean the scale of the condenser to ensure the efficiency of secondary steam condensation.
2. Heating system
Monitor the steam pressure (0.04 – 0.07Mpa is recommended) to prevent foam splashing or seal failure caused by high pressure.
3. Electrical equipment
Keep the control box dry to avoid water vapor erosion of instruments and sensors.
4、 Deactivation and Storage Standards
1. When not in use for a long time, drain the remaining water in the tank and pipeline, and apply protective coating to the sealing surface to prevent deformation.
2. Close all valves, cover with dust covers, and store in a dry environment.
5、 Preventive measures for faults
1. Foam overflow: open the vent valve for defoaming when concentrating high viscosity materials, or add food grade defoamer.
2. Vacuum abnormality:
Low vacuum degree: Check for air leakage points, cooling water flow rate, and temperature.
High vacuum degree: Adjust the temperature of the cooling water to avoid being too low (increasing energy consumption).
Tip: Maintenance records need to be fully archived, and operators should receive regular safety training (such as LOTO procedures and the use of protective equipment).
Systematic maintenance can extend equipment lifespan and reduce the rate of sudden failures.
