Precautions for operating the vacuum depressurization concentration tank
Date: 2025-12-16Read: 14
Vacuum vacuum concentration tanks are widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, and chemicals for efficient concentration of materials and recovery of solvents. Its operation involves key links such as vacuum, heating, and stirring, and strict precautions must be followed to ensure the safe operation of the equipment and the concentration effect. The following are the main precautions before, during, and after the operation:
1、 Preparation before operation
1. Equipment inspection: Ensure that all components (such as valves, pipelines, condensers) are intact and free from leaks or blockages. Focus on inspecting the vacuum pump and pressure instruments to confirm their normal function and avoid operational interruptions or safety accidents caused by equipment failures.
2. Material evaluation: Clarify material properties such as thermal sensitivity, viscosity, or corrosiveness to adjust operating parameters. For example, thermosensitive materials need to be controlled at a lower temperature range to prevent decomposition or denaturation.
3. Cleaning and Disinfection: Before the first use, thoroughly clean the inside of the concentration tank and steam sterilize it to ensure that there are no residues contaminating the material. At the same time, check that the cooling system has sufficient water supply to prepare for the condensation process.
2、 Control during operation
1. Vacuum degree and temperature management: After starting the vacuum pump, gradually adjust it to the target vacuum degree (usually 600-700 mmHg) to avoid sudden pressure drop causing excessive boiling of the material. When heating, slowly raise the temperature to the set temperature to prevent material splashing or equipment overpressure caused by local overheating.
2. Mixing and feeding monitoring: Turn on the mixing system to promote uniform heating of the material and prevent clumping or precipitation. The feeding speed shall be slow and stable, and the liquid level shall be kept submerged in the heating element to avoid foam entrainment and loss of effective ingredients.
3. Safety protection: closely observe pressure and temperature instruments to ensure they are within a safe range. If there is an abnormality (such as a sudden increase in pressure), immediately turn off the heating source and exhaust to reduce pressure, in order to prevent the risk of explosion. In addition, avoid low boiling materials or water entering the high-temperature system to prevent vaporization and pressurization.
3、 Post operation processing
1. Equipment stop: First, close the heating valve, then release the vacuum, and finally stop stirring. This sequence can prevent material backflow or equipment damage.
2. Material discharge and cleaning: After emptying the concentrated solution, thoroughly clean the tank and pipeline with warm water or solvent to remove any residue. Regularly inspect the seals and mixing components to ensure no corrosion or wear.
3. Maintenance and recording: Implement regular maintenance plans, such as lubricating moving parts and calibrating instruments. Record operational parameters and abnormal situations to provide a basis for subsequent optimization.
4、 General precautions
1. Environment and personnel safety: The operating area should be well ventilated and equipped with protective equipment (such as gloves and goggles). Overloading of equipment is prohibited to avoid efficiency decline or malfunction caused by "rough use of precision machinery".
2. Emergency preparedness: Develop emergency plans, such as leak handling or fire extinguishing measures. Ensure that emergency relief devices (such as safety valves) are functioning properly to respond to sudden overpressure events.
By strictly following the above steps, equipment lifespan and concentration quality can be significantly improved, while ensuring production safety. Operators should receive professional training and be familiar with equipment manuals and procedures to cope with complex working conditions.
