Precautions for colloid mill operation

1. Disinfect and clean the interior of the body.

2. Connect the cooling water, start the colloid mill and wait for it to operate normally before immediately feeding it into the mill for processing. Empty operation shall not exceed 15 seconds.

3. Quartz, broken glass, metal shavings, and hard substances are not allowed to be mixed into the processed materials, otherwise they will damage the dynamic and static grinding discs when entering the grinding process.

4. Pay attention to the motor load, and reduce feeding if overload is found.

5. Colloid mills are high-precision machinery with extremely small disc gaps and high operating speeds. Operators should strictly follow their posts and operate according to regulations. If any faults are found, they should stop the machine in a timely manner and use it again after troubleshooting.

6. After use, the colloid mill should be cleaned to prevent material residue inside the machine, in order to avoid leakage caused by mechanical seal adhesion.

7. Connect the feeding hopper or feeding pipe, as well as the discharge port or discharge circulation pipe. Connect the cooling water pipe and drain pipe.

8. Install the power starter and equip it with an ammeter and indicator light. After connecting to the power supply, the motor should be turned on to determine the direction of rotation, and the direction should be clockwise when viewed from the feeding port.

9. Adjust the gap between the grinding discs, loosen the two handles and turn the adjustment ring clockwise. Insert one hand into the square mouth of the base to rotate the motor fan blades. Stop immediately when there is a slight friction when turning the adjustment ring. Reverse the adjustment ring slightly to make the grinding gap larger than the alignment number. Generally, while meeting the requirements for the fineness of the processed material, try to make the grinding gap pin as large as possible. This can prolong the service life of the grinding disc. Then tighten the handle clockwise to lock the adjusting ring and fix the gap between the grinding discs.
