What are the preparations before operating the bubble wrap packaging machine?
Date: 2025-12-02Read: 4
During the transportation process, the rolled plastic sheet is heated and softened by a heater to a plastic state, preparing for subsequent molding. There are two common methods for bubble wrap packaging machines: vacuum vacuum forming and compressed air blow molding. Roller and roller plate models often use vacuum negative pressure suction to remove the bubble hood; The flat plate type is blow molded using compressed air.
The product is filled into the blister through an automatic feeding mechanism, and some equipment also checks the quality of blister molding and filling. Unqualified products will be marked and removed after the subsequent processes are completed. Cover the substrate material on the filled product blister, and then use a plate or roller heat sealer to tightly seal the blister and substrate under appropriate temperature and pressure. By using a punching device, the continuous packaging tape is punched into individual independent packaging units.
Preparation before operating the bubble wrap packaging machine:
1. Environmental and material inspection
Environmental requirements: Ensure that the cleanliness of the workshop meets ISO level 8 (ten thousand level) standards, with temperature controlled between 18-26 ℃ and humidity ≤ 60%, to avoid dust or moisture affecting the sealing of the bubble cover. For example, drug packaging must comply with GMP standards to prevent microbial contamination.
Material compatibility: Verify whether the thickness of packaging materials such as PVC sheets and aluminum foil (usually 0.2-0.3mm for PVC) and the heat sealing temperature range (120-180 ℃) match the equipment parameters. If the material is too thin, it can easily cause bubbles to break, and if it is too thick, it may cause poor heat sealing.
2. Equipment status confirmation
Mechanical inspection: Check whether key components such as forming molds, punching tools, heating plates, etc. are worn or loose. For example, scratches on the surface of the molding mold can cause the blister to sink, and it is necessary to regularly measure the mold gap with a micrometer (standard value ≤ 0.05mm).
Electrical system: Test the sensitivity of safety devices such as emergency stop buttons, photoelectric sensors, and temperature controllers.
3. Parameter presetting and trial operation
Set parameters such as heating temperature, forming pressure, and punching speed based on material characteristics. For example, the heat sealing temperature needs to be determined by DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) to determine the melting point of the material, which is usually 10-20 ℃ higher than the melting point. Run the equipment without load for 5-10 minutes and observe whether it runs smoothly without any abnormal vibration or noise. If the height deviation of the formed blister is found to be greater than 0.1mm, the vacuum degree or heating time needs to be adjusted.
